I'm not saying Landry is a Bosh/Amare type. But at 6'7 and strong and athletic with that good jumper, he can be a VERY useful player in this league. Remember Horace Grant? He kind of reminds me of him, hustles for loose balls, gets offensive rebounds, dunks with authority. And if you are going to give me David West, I'll take that any day. Scola is still WAAY the better of the two, but Landry's potential(in my opinion) has yet to be seen. Also, he kind of reminds me of a post-injury Kenyon Martin.

And by the way, I just read the ESPN.COM conversations on the game tonight and it is just a TON of Blazer fans ripping on our Rockets. I read it and Couldn't stand it. Oh well, they will learn when they see what we as a team are capable of.

agreed. but a horace type is not exactly a "limitless" ceiling, is it?

Roy has only nd to ca0.8 second to catch the ball and shoot. When the ball is still on the air, the time is up.
My question is, does it only take yao 1.1 second to catch the ball, turn around and make a shoot? I mean Portland must manipulate the time clock on
    their home court. Any thoughts?

I'm looking forward to Scola doing better against Aldridge, who has owned him so far in their matchups. Scola keeps improving this year, doing much better against the opponents who gave hard time last year.

Use Hayes on Aldridge and turn off his rythm, and then we should be fine.

Indeed, it is unbelievable to change one game in just 0.08 second (or seconds :D ) but the reason why the clock stopped at 0.08 was because Yao got fouled barely prior to his shot.

Most importantly, I can't wait to see how the rox will screw them later on

Yao was barely fouled on that play?

That was an obvious foul! They didnt even bother to argue.

i'm excited about tonight. if brooks keeps turnovers down and runs the team efficiently we'll get it done. if we get anything out of wafer that isn't in garbage time we win by double digits. big game tonight fellas.

True...but also mentioned is David West, which is a 2-time all-star. Granted, I know Landry isn't the second coming of Charles Barkley or anything, and judging by my name , CarlLandry14 , it is obvious that I am a fan. I admit I got caught up when i said the word "limitless", but to say he is "limited" in his 2nd year in which he played 11 minutes last year and 19 minutes a game this year is absurd. With Scola in the rotation, Landry will never get the minutes I would like to see him play, but I just think that if we don't take advantage of his talents while he is peaking towards what may be his prime, we would be remissed. He could start on a lot of NBA teams. Look at what happened to Al Jefferson, he was a nobody (respectively) in Boston, and went to the T-Wolves and made himself into a superstar. I think that if we don't keep him long-term and seek out his full potential than he will go somewhere else and prove us wrong. Scola/Landry tandem is GREAT!

Carl Landry is no Al Jefferson, I know that. So I need no response from that comment, it was just an example.

need no response? here is one...

    k. i will let you be a fan then. :)

and no need to worry about landry's minutes. he's had plenty and will continue to. in fact, adelman has used him in the 4th quarters more than he has used scola.

considering they got the win in our first match (ouchhh... brandon roy).. we have to win the next two home games just in case we end up fighting for the home court advantage.

i dont know though. i think there's a good chance that utah is gonna be up there once again....
