talk about being funny...lol....that would have been on sportscenter, because he wouldn't even have reached the bottem of the nets with the ball....getting hung would be great

I can't forget Brent during his days with the Clippers/Sonics, he always showed up to play. He's got a good shot especially when open and healthy. I hate knowing we got him at the END of his career, but I guess better late than never.

About his lay-up, 2 pts is always going to be 2 pts, might not have his ups to be still be known as bones for a dunk.

    Go Rockets!!!

I agree laying that ball up was hideous and he is a 6'8" guy after all. He's sort of disappointed me the season so far. I agree with his willingness to try and be a vocal leader because of his tenure in the NBA and the guys respect him but he needs to start taking more shots when he's open and not look to pass the ball off. After all this is why we bought him here for is to hit the three point shot.

really? you're making a thread to complain that a 36 year old white guy didn't dunk the ball on a fast break...remember when rafer pulled his hammy in practice...dunking the ball...give me a break

Yeah but at least Francis dunked it brilliantly in the preseason and was called for a foul for some reason.

That was a first sign of hope that Francis will play good in the Rockets.

    Apparently he fooled us all.

Have you been watching games at all lately??? Barry sometimes shoots within a millisecond of getting the ball. What you're talking about happened last year, early in the season. Its difficult to find your role when you're not playing. When the season began he was passing a lot, then wafer emerged so Barry got less PT, as soon as he started getting consistent minutes again he was looking to shoot every time

I'm sure his 3 point shot and experience are BOTH reasons why he was brought here, and are both equally as important. You're kidding yourself if the main reason for his signing was to just shoot 3s, we could have kept novak for that.

Finally, where does this 6'8 come from, he's probably closer to 6'6 and even if he was 6'8 the rim is still 10 feet, he still needs to jump somewhat forcefully to get clear the rim safely, if he thinks that's too much for his body, then so be it, at 37 yrs of age i see no reason not to believe it.

Not disappointed because afterall he did score. But it sure would have been nice had he dunked it like back in the day...

Not disappointed, but an explosive dunk would've fired up the crowd. He should've like "between the legs"-ed it.

That was great ... and I completely agreed with Clyde. 2 points is 2 points.

That, kids is how to do a lay up. Would have been fun to see him dunk it like in his younger days, but yeah, the lay up was probably the right play for an "old man" like him. ;)

When I saw Brent get the ball and run it up the court with no one on his tail, I thought to myself "uh oh here comes vintage Brent Barry!", but two points is two points. I was definitely not disappointed. Why should you be? Lay ups count just as much as dunks.

I would be more disappointed if he missed attempting a dunk, and we lost by 1 point.

Barry looks quite thin, I am even worried about him play 20+ mins.
