One of the big reason why the cost of health is so high, Doctors make so much mistakes that insurance have to charge then crazy money for all the sue against malpractice just to be cover, then they go and charge a lot to their clients to make a profit.

Maybe if doctors are so good why they recommend a second opinion all the time.

Before T-Mac was hopeless with his back and all the doctors he saw didn't find an answer the he found a guy in Waco ho is not even a doctor that did cure him, but fixed it up, something that no doctor was able to do.

I like how your capable of talking on the doctors behalf with no proof while everybody who is taking Tmac's side has a quoted statement from the doctor saying he was at fault. LOL

Can someone explain to me why they think that tracy didn't rehab properly? I don't recall even one reliable source asserting that he didn't put in the work he should have. Are we just assuming that because he's a "lazy wuss" he must not have rehabbed? Maybe I'm wrong. I really want to know.

If even one of the other doctors (who are not part of the Rocket organization) who saw McGrady before the All Star break admitted they misdiagnosed him. Even then that doesn't excuse McGrady coming into camp fat, quitting in the Toronto game or going AWOL and making his own season-ending announcement.

right. i'm not saying the mistake was in the surgery. sometimes doctors tell players to come back too soon. amare came back too soon from his microfracture surgery. look at what happened to gilbert arenas. he tried to come back too soon twice.

Sometimes its because a guy overworks too (which i think is pretty clear this was not the case with Mcgrady). Look at Arenas who was due back AGES ago. And then he has had like multiple surguries (knee as well mind you). And then you got Elton Brand who came back early and did fine. Different Athletes different responses.

You do realize that the top doctors in the country all agree that TMac could play, right? You do realize that an MRI cleared Tmac to play...then a couple weeks later, after a 1-9 showing, TMac complained...an MRI was taken and it showed NO change. Still, the top doctors agreed that TMac should be able to play on it.

If you cant place any blame on TMac, then thats fine. But TMac has proven to let up and not play because of some sort of hindrance. The guy doesnt go all out, the guy lacks the heart of a Kobe Bryant. He showed it in Toronto, he showed it in Orlando, and now he is showing it in Houston.

In a situation like this, with Dr. Clanton clearing TMac to play...Im sure the clearance was based on thousands of surgeries that showed average rehabilitation times. With Dr. Clanton saying that he let TMac play too early, that shows that either TMac is a much slower healer than your average person or that TMac did not put in the work to get back to an elite level. Either way, Dr. Clanton is the team doctor and he is doing his job and stepping up for reasons why TMac's season has been a failure. But, based on TMac's history, Im more than willing to bet that its TMac's lack of desire to be the best that kept him from rehabbing like he should have.

Exactly, they are just haters that don't want to admit the doctor is at blame for this one. I could of seen this coming, especially with the type of training staff we have.

I guess the Rockets will no longer use Dr. Clanton's services. I'll bet they never consult Dr. Andrews either. I mean if both of these guys misdiagnosed the franchise player and ruined a potential Championship season then of course the Rockets will never use them again.

If this isn't damage control for McGrady you can be sure that will happen. Let's wait and see.

sounds like the doc is blaming himself. Doc should know it's all in tracys head. Any other superstar would have been fine, no matter how long Tracy rehabed he would still whine. Just my opinion.

if you were any of the doctors, would you admit misdiagnosing him? it'll cost you your job. not to mention ruin your reputation. you probably wont get that many patients anymore.

how can tmac get into shape when he's rehabbing his knee? you cant do your regular regimen. tmac's offseason regimen was running. how can he run w/o ruining his rehab?

quit on the toronto game? dude, he was injured. are you referring to jamarion moon? he couldnt catch up with him b/c of his knee. and tmac's always like that. do you ever watch him? he lets go of fastbreaks. he doesnt run after them or challenges it. it's just 2 point. if he went after every fastbreak, he'd either get a foul, the guy gets the goal or at worst, you get injured. if that's your definition of giving up, then yao gives up every time b/c he doesnt run down on fastbreaks.

and re: his announcement. do you know why he did that? coz to me, way i think about it, he did that to spite morey for trying to shop him while he's injured. what kinda gm is morey anyway? you tell your guy to keep on playing on an injured knee, and then you shop him?

Doc: "My bad, in making my recommendation that he go back to play I forgot to consider the fact that T-Mac is a woman. I'll have to take a better history and physical exam next time."

I understand why T-Mac announced it to the media before telling the team, but that is not the way you handle business... Somethings you do no matter how you feel. He did quit that Toronto game, but that was the only game you could tell he didnt try.

Tmac haters will always blame him, nothing the media says or any one here says will change that...i know my name is tmac2k8, i just had to come up with something, i'm not a die hard tmac fan or apologist and i'm sure if you seen other posts from myself i've called tmac out plenty of times this year, i was outraged when he quit in Toronto and acted like he didn't give a crap..and ive written several post about how much better we are without tmac bc as of now it is the truth, .but still, this whole "dr trying to save the rockets image thing' i dont buy. Even if this is a PR stunt, it is a fact he was injured and tried to play through it otherwise who would purposely go out and limp throughout the season on purpose like that?? It takes more effort to go on the court and act hurt and hobble around than to go out and just play. He wasn't faking any injury, you can't deny he was injured from the start of the season and should not have been playing. Maybe he could have rehabbed properly, than hate him for that...but some ppl are making it out like tracy insists on being injured and is using that as an excuse...no matter if this is PR stunt or not, tracy played when he shouldn't have been cleared to play. Doctor's fault...

Please don't misunderstand, I am not faulting Tracy if he was hurt - which I think he was/is. It's just that some people won't give him any credit and do say he is a girl for not playing through the pain or lazy because he didn't work hard enough. The point I was trying to make is that if the injury that was founf (missing catilage) is not going to get better by rehab and of it was too painful to play with, he is not being a baby. People don't know what missing cartilage feels like if they have not experienced it.

they say the knee was fine. that it should improve by playing on it.

now, they say that there's a spot that's missing cartilage. and obviously playing on it, didnt make it better. and advising tmac to play early is still part of the diagnosis/recommendations. so there was misdiagnosis on the part of the doctors.

If every player that had missing cartilage had surgery, then a quarter of the league would be out for 6-12 months.

There are a lot of NBA players that play with some missing cartilage. They play through it. It wasnt a misdiagnosis. The doctors had all told him he could play. I highly doubt that the top few doctors in the entire country all missed that...they knew the condition of his knee and did not recommend surgery. TMac continued shopping for a doctor that agreed that the knee could not be played on.

You do realize that horse tranquilizers are PCP and they have the exact opposite effect in humans right? If the doc gave him that, he would be jumping off the walls and hallucinating like crazy.
