good rule of thumb: if a team waives a player, he probably isn't worth being picked up. I thought of exceptions for this rule, and the first one to pop up was steve francis -- but what happened? oh yeah, he got waived again. so it still works.
Sonics drafted three centers in three consective drafts with a lottery pick. I think Sene was one of them. All have been busts.
was he the one they all drooled over his wingspan or was that serge ibaka??? Either way we got the same player in badiane and we all know how that turned out. Great 10th pick seattle. Wingspan is one thing but skill is another ask Hasheem the dream thabeet, that guy has some game changing ability.
I think DeJuan Blair would say otherwise... Talk bout a 7'3" center gettin taken to school by a 6'6" power forward
The only future cut person I heard we were interested in is Mikki Moore, but I think he will end up with the Celtics.
Can the Rockets sign another player since TMac will be gone for the remainder of the season or will they have to waive a somebody?
waive dorsey and sign this guy, he's a legit 7 footer and i'm sure he's got a higher ceiling than Sene.
Morey should waive Dorsey and sign Pops Mensa Bonzu. Pops is an athletic big that can get up and down the court like a stallion. I haven't seen Sene play before but I think the Rockets need another big on the roster that can block shots and dunk.
I actually went to an Austin Toros game on Sunday and watched Pops Mensa Bonzu play. John Lucas was playing for Denver's team also which was cool Dude can throw down and is very athletic, but he looked far from a guy I would want on the Rockets roster. His athleticism makes him excel vs lesser competition but I don't think he has the tools to compete at the next level.
BTW Pops put up 35 against the 2nd best team in the D-League (Denver). He definitely had a very impressive game. I believe the Toros are now in first place.
