It looks like Morey has chosen Rick Adelman over Tmac and Rafer. He has dismantled the team that was here before him and jettisoned all the players that refused to buy into or run his system.

Tracy clearly has been bristling at changing, and he took himself out of the equation with his recent antics.

But Rafer has also been hesitant to run the system, he didn't move off the ball and make cuts either.

It had to be frustrating for Adelman to try to get guys set in their ways of playing - who admittadly have been successful in another way - to buy into a more team oriented concept.

I, for one, am glad that Morey has made the choice and it is Rick Adelman over Tmac and Rafer.

    Good job Morey.....

You should be punished for bringing a McGrady conversation into an otherwise well-intentioned thread. Your post would've been fine without the last comment. We could use one thread without it..

Nah, it is the truth.....no need to hijack the thread.....

This team is finally gotten the cloud lifted from their heads and is developing some major chemistry.

Go Rockets.....2nd round or bust baby !!

This I can completely agree with!

Our team has had a good core of guys for a while now. Shane, Barry, Brooks, Landry, and Wafer are all fairly humble approachable guys. Deke is the epitome of a good human being, and Yao is humble in his own right. Artest is more outlandish but he at least gives our team that hard-working toughness that puts it over the top. Lowry is too new for me to know, but he seems to have a solid attitude and a team-game. This may be the classiest roster the Rockets have had in 15 years. It is a good time to be a fan!

I feel now that we're solid enough that even when we lose I wont be forced to wonder if I was believing in a lie all along. They'll rebound and keep chugging, because that's the character of the team. Bring on the playoffs, baby!

And I forgot Scola and Hayes! Just see the "Scola is the most consistent rocket" thread. 'Nuff said!

Sign me up. I got so discouraged a few weeks ago, I took a "vacation" from the Rockets and the board. For long term fans like myself, patience ran out years ago, we are running on fumes anyway. But, then to see a team that looked like it was disinterested slop through games and lose to cellar dwellers was just too much. I have zero confidence in Les anyway. He inherited a champion and has pretty much screwed things up since then. I do think Morey is a bright guy and will help, but this season has been a big downer overall.

    UNTIL NOW!

I love seeing a team play hard, win or lose, it is very encouraging. I don't expect a huge playoff run, but if they just keep sharing the ball, giving it their all, and play defense I am a happy fan.

You could almost compare us to the Phoenix Suns in which the Rockets actually backed up their coach and most the players bought in where in Phoenix the players fought tooth and nail to not buy into the system and they threw the coach out. Now you will see which team goes further, the organization that backs the coach and then the coach backs the players is the way it should go. When an organization backs the players and pisses on the coach it throws everything off balance. Everything rolls down hill from top to bottom and the Suns are making a huge mistake and luckily the Rockets aren't as stupid.
