Yao's history in the playoffs without Tmac shows your logic to be false....

He said he doesnt fit into the offense.....Getting assists has something to do with the offense, does it not?

A player can be a "ball-stopper" and dominate the ball to a detrimental extent, while racking up assists.

When has Yao ever gotten to the playoffs without T-Mac? Once with Stevie Franchise, years ago.

    Exactly.

Look, this is not exactly controversial. The consensus opinion here is that T-Mac

    1) dominates the ball, doesn't move it quickly enough once he gets it and kills the ball movement in the offense
    2) doesn't cut hard without the ball and
    3) refuses to run, ever

The guy breaks the offense and the Rockets have consistently played better without him.

at this moment the Rockets are a great team without Tracy, but when people in here are talking about making it past the first round with out him.... I dont know about that.

Most of the players we have have yet been to the second round. This is a great team but second round is pushing it. We lack experience in the playoffs with this roster.

Now Im not saying Tracy is the answer because its not true, but we would really need a tracy to make it for the second round and beyond. Why do we limit this team to the second round?? Why not Finals... or Championship.

Winning the Title is the goal, not the second round. And to just say, we are going to the second round without mcgrady just to shove it in the guys face is just dumb. If you dont like the guy, just drop it. But fact is...

Winning the NBA title is the goal, and we need tracy..

Wrong. The Rockets need that $21 million. With it they can buy a replacement for Tracy. They don't need Tracy himself.

Even with T-Mac I think the Rockets would have a very, very tough time getting past the Lakers. The chances of him getting back for the playoffs AND picking up the offense to a point where he can be effective is nil.

    Les NEVER said that..........

    Read the article son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rockets were HEAVILY SHOPPING MCGRADY.

Guess what, NO ONE WANTED HIS LAZY, HEARTLESS, EFFORTLESS self.

Next year, teams will want his expiring contract, which is why he is still on the roster!

The team is now a contender without him. Tmac should have thought all about everything. He will not play for Rox.

The answer is "No!" in RA's system, at both offensive and deffensive end. V. Gundy is the man for Tmac.

Wrong logic. Obviously Tmac doesn't want, and will not play for Rox. If he insists on the surgery, everyone here and the team will agree. What he wants to do is nothing but to confront DM, who wants to trade him out. He did this not because of staying, he will surely ask trading himself after the surgery. Rox will get nothing but paying salary to him.
