Without Landry, RA has less flexibility with Yao. That's the bottom line.

Solid game and great game by the player of the match: Ron Artest.

However, Yao still needs a lot more touches because Wafer took as many shots as Yao and that's not good. However, it is misleading because Wafer took a lot of shots within the offense except for 2 fade aways where he tried to create for himself.

Did any1 else see Yao impersonating The Dream in the 4th around 6 mins left where he fell down ? He faked it with his right hand, spun away and tried to shoot a right hook. Too bad he was taken down or else it would've been one of the highlights of the year !!!

That has become a trend ever since he lit it up for that short game stretch. Wafer has been ball hogging.

By my estimates, with this win, well to go ...

    13-13 for a playoff spot
    17-11 for HCA

Yao is dominate. Let's face it. Scola is a double-double machine, whether you like him or not, he gets the job done. Brooks will fill in nicely for Rafer. Battier is a great defender and is he hits his open 3's we will be fine. Artest is a STUD and for anyone out there who thinks we can't win without McLazy, just watch Artest put up 22 pts., 5 boards, 5 assists. That is AT BEST what T-Whack would give you. I will miss Rafer because it kind of messes with our team chemistry right in the middle of our season, but Brooks showed he can pick up the slack. When Landry gets back in that lineup and Chuck won't have to play many, if any, minutes, we are going to be one hard-nosed team with offensive weapons galore. And evn though Wafer shot 12 times in 22 minutes, I would rather see that than him not shooting at all. He just needs to make sure Yao gets his first. But The team looks good so far and hopefully (fingers crossed) Kyle Lowry can come off the bench and produce once he figures out how to work with the rest of the team. Thats my opinion and I think the Rockets are a shoe-in for the 6 seed in the West (AT LEAST) and hopefully the 4th (So we can have home-court over New Orleans or Portland, whom all Rocket fans know we can handle). I Loved McGrady for the glory years, but it's time to move on. Artest has the skill set for 18-20 points per game and 5 boards and 5 assists. We all know what Yao is, 20-10 all day. Scola is 12-15 pts. and 10-12 boards all day. Brooks is a tough one, but Rafer was only giving us 11 points and 5.5 assists. I believe Brooks can put up equal, if not better, numbers. Landry, if given 20-25 minutes can give you 10-15 points and 8-10 boards. I could keep going with Wafer, Barry, Lowry, Hayes, Battier. The Rockets are DEEP and it's time to not only get out of the first round, but to make a serious push for the Lakers in the West Finals.

By the way, I am a season tickets holder and bleed Rocket Red and I can't figure out Battier's role on the team if his shot is not falling from the corner. To pass in the post safely to Yao? I would love to see Landry get some of Battier's 32 minutes per game. They are the same size, Landry can play inside and outside defense. Artest can guard the Kobe's and Wade's of the other teams. I just dont understand it completely, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I am open to any and all comments.

Please comment on what I think, I would Love the criticism.

    Good post in general ...
As far as Battier vs Landry.
Landry does not play defense very well. He has a hard time at the 4. He certainly can not chase opposing 3 all over the court like Battier.
On offense, Landry does not have the range of Battier. Landry has a good 18 ft shot but he is certainly not a 3 pt shooter. He went 0-1 in 07-08, 1-2 in 08-09.

Saw that play and loved it. Hope to see more of that, which should be aces more often than not.

Finally the rockets are getting it. This is exactly how this game was supposed to be. A blowout. The good teams in the nba do not worry about losing to bad teams. They come in, handle their business, and worry about the next good team they play. The rockets were not doing that earlier this season, and we lost 7 games to some really bad teams. If we had won those games, we would probably be in the hunt for the number 2 spot in the western conference, and maybe even the 1 spot. Regardless of tmac and his drama, the rockets had more than enough talent to beat the slumdogs of the nba. The Lakers, Spurs, Cavs, Celtics, this is how they play. You beat the crap out of inferior teams and pretend that its practice.

Also, kudos to daryl morey. Thank you for not making a big move for the sake of making a big move. I know there was a lot of hype over Vince Carter, but thank you for realizing that vince carter is not as good as artest, battier, landry and head. On the flip side, I think that the Nets messed up and they got greedy. Every move that Daryl Morey has made so far, has made us a better team. You gotta love the number crunchers. We need to make a poster of Daryl Morey with the caption, " I BELIEVE" at the bottom. LOL

Here is to the next 22 game winning streak! 4 down, 18 to go!!!!!
