so you call his playoff performace a success? Even tmac himslef will feel ashamed if you did. And you don't expect one player being so different come playoff time, when they suck and hurt their team in regular season, they will also do the same in the playoffs ,don't reply on false hope.

 

The same way its going to be funny when the Astros go 56-106 because we have a pitcher in our starting rotation that also pitched for us in the MID 90'S!

I'll be honest, I would only accept Tmac back in the rotation for the following reasons :

1. He apologize to the fans who have been loyal in buying expensive tickets to the rockets games which in return pay his paycheck.

2. He admits he is not the team leader.

3. He accepts that he is now a bench player.

4. He shuts his mouth.

Go to basketball-reference.com and look up his playoff stats. Also look at every matchup. His team was a lower seed every time and look at the players he had compared to who the opposing team's had. TMac isn't the reason why his teams have not advanced to the second round.

As far as the Rockets teams, I hope you have watched those games and you realize how badly certain players played in the series...

Your boy is the biggest quitter, whiner, crybaby and drama queen in the history of this franchise. More damaging even than Pippen and that is really saying something.

He is also poisonous to this team.

Look at how the offense flows without him, before and after his latest fit. Then look how it stops in its tracks when he comes back. (I'm not just talking about this year here.)

McGrady is a better player than probably anyone on our current roster. And yet he's worse for the team than anyone on it too.

He is worse than unreliable. He insists on being the focus of the offense when he can't play, he insists on being the headline whether he's willing to play or not, and when he does play he both pouts and demands the ball. His moodiness is such that nothing can take root and grow in its presence.

He doesn't need micro fracture surgery anywhere near as much as he needs a good therapist.

Do what? Last I recalled, we have struggled to beat mediocre teams with McBaby. I'd rather beat the vast majority of mediocre teams and not get past the first round than lose to most of the mediocre teams and still not get past the first round.

I'm not sure when it happened, but you have become a poster whose posts I disagree with 99% of the time. Sometimes I think that, like bigtexxx and TJ, you just post things to get people riled up.

We are not talking about last year here. What has Tracy shown THIS YEAR to show you that he makes us better. Sure, I would love to have 2005 Tracy on this team, just like I would love to have 1994 Hakeem and 1985 Larry Bird. You can't use past accomplishments to assume that the person would do the same today. A 2009 version of Larry Bird would do nothing for the team, even though at one point he was one of the best ever. Tracy is NOT the same player as he was even last year. He does not mesh with the team, and we are playing better without him. How anyone can argue this completely baffles me.

As I posted in another thread, we are 8-3 versus teams currently slotted to go to the playoff WITHOUT Tracy, and 6-10 with him. That, my friend, should tell you all that you need to know.
