There's a clear line between management and players. Management assembles player who they believe are a good product, of course in that product comes "superstars." Yao is not management or part of it, they don't need his approval on anything. He for one should be happy if they believe they've upgraded the PG unless he didn't want Rafer to go knowing AB throws bounce passes to him. T-Mac is out and Artest is shaky (great game today though), they definitely needed more scoring in the lineup and no better way than to push the tempo with some easy baskets. If that report is true and both are treated differently, you have to consider was that why Artest was on the block (eventhough he'll be a FA this summer and is considered a ball stopper) since he called out T-Mac's D? I just want him to just rest up and support the team but since he isn't at the games, the situation is adding to the drama. If the player is Kirk and it is due to that reason by calling T-Mac out and management listened, does that explain how Mike James (first go around) was shipped out because of T-Mac? Don't know who caters to who, however Go Rockets!!!
Yao has something to prove since he has only qon 1 game without tmac in the playoffs and I dont really blame Les or Morey for looking to the future.
It's different when Alston is replaced by Lowry. So far I don't see how Lowry is remotely close to Alston as a PG. Rox was scoring over 100 easily when Alston runs the show without Tmac on the floor.
If Yao had his way Steve Francis would still be starting. Not really worried about it. Winning cures everything, and if Yao really believes that Rafer was the difference between competing for a title and a first round loss, then he's taken one too many cheap elbows
How can Feigen be so sure Yao didn't know?! Feigen is not Morey or Yao. Why should they tell him everything?
Alston has actually been replaced by Brooks, and we beat the Mavs at home...something we had not done in 2 seasons with Rafer at the helm Lowry has much better court vision and is trying to fit in with limited practice time
next year Alston is one year farther over the hump and Lowry has one more year of experience under his belt.
(Rick was of course on board. Yao was not consulted. Yes, they can make the playoffs. More is available in today's story and blog entry. -- Jonathan) http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2009/02/skip_to_my_new_rockets_undergo_1.html
I don't know the rest is true or not, but that part seems to be true. Didn't Fran or someone else at the Chron reported the same thing?
Take whatever Yang / Sina wrote with a grain of salt, please. Sina is well skilled in exaggeration. A recent example was Morey's interview. During the interview Morey said "T-Mac is emotional (due to the situation/injury)" but the chinese caption stated, "Morey said T-Mac is moody". What was Yang hoping to achieve creating this sort of unrest, anyway? SS999
Isn't sina always making up meaningless crap to start drama? I remember this very point being brought up in countless threads with "stories" like this from sina.
