hey guess what, Aaron Brooks IS NOT 7'6, so quit only looking at Yao's point of view and look at Aaron's.

yeah, but you don't always have an exceptionally tall and shorter than average pair like that. It looks weird to me also, but you need to look at all the variables and his post doesn't need it's own thread anyway.

Agreed, especially whenever the guy you're passing to is 7'6".

I have to agree and was going to post about this. He is still doing that. It needs to stop. Its not that hard to throw it overhead.

I think its harder for Aaron to pass the ball over his head because he usually has a taller defender on him. He can get below the defenders arms and bounce pass it in to Yao... They will figure it out eventually... Good game by all rockets players

He just has to work on his bounce passes, it's all about where the ball ends up, not the angle. As long as the ball ends near Yao's face, it's good. But I would prefer the normal arc pass.

As long as it gets to Yao where he can catch, it doesn't matter. We don't want Aaron spending 5 seconds trying to enter the ball to Yao with an over the head pass. Whatever works.

As long as it's accurate, it really doesn't matter. And the bounce is faster than the lob so that's a positive.

The key of a good entry pass to a big man, is not that he can catch, but he can catch comfortably and directly go to next action. If you have ever played post up games, you know that is so important

it is when you're under 6 feet and there's a 6'4 or 6'5 guard on you, he has to have a good angle to throw it overhead, otherwise he'd have to throw it higher up, which means the ball is in the air a longer time, which means defenders have more time to go after it. The bounce pass isn't so bad, i just dont like HOW he bounces it sometimes, but as long as he doesn't turn it over who cares..

That's overrated, you have too many defenders cheating and reaching in nowadays to focus so much on hitting the post man where he wants it. Just get it to him where he can catch it safely and not lose his position. The key to a good big man is being able to make your move even if you have to go and get the entry pass, Dream did it, and a lot of today's post players do as well.

first of all, never ever bounce to a big.

secondly, I'd like to see aaron either (a) not pick up his dribble, allowing his defender to close out, (b) blow by his man when he does close out, and (c) set up further back from the 3pt line.

of course, I'd also prefer a wing passing it in instead of our mini-pgs.

not overrated at all! ideally you always give any player the ball where they want it. the "sweet spots" can never be overrated.

particularly when you're talking about a player who has had trouble consistently establishing great post position, has slow reflexes, and lacks athleticism, it is even moreso important to get him the ball where he wants it. that...or reverse the ball and let him (yao) come across the lane and try to re-establish position.
