I'm surprised so many people here are still ranting about Alston and McGrady. So much for the so called "True Rockets" fans . Great game, although I missed it, I saw some good highlights. Aaron needs to step it up on D. His stats does look terrific, but he gave away a lot on D as well. Still, I believe I stand correct when I said Aaron Brooks is a possible future all-star. Maybe not now, but someday.
when wafer isn't hitting his shots like tonight, i'd like to see more barry. he brings experience, can hit the 3's and also plays smart. he's slower and less atheletic but still brings a lot to the table when you consider wafer's night tonight. AB will only get better, he'll be averaging mid teens IMO and everyone will, especially Yao and Luis will benefit from a better shooter at the 1. Lowry would probably play better with the second unit, especially when landry returns. and when is DEKE going to get some PT???
and too more points: Scola was huge tonight. Yao was sort of taken out of the comfort zone by the calls and all the turnovers and bad sets early in the 4th.
In fact, I only yelled "terrible shot" at the TV twice tonight (both Artest) as opposed to the 5 or 6 times T Mac just jacks it up from 20 feet early in the shot clock.
Going to be interesting...we play the Bobcats next, a team we should probably destroy...we've won 3 straight...so if the season is any indication...this will be a let down game Think about it... won 3 straight under .500 team play Portland after the Bobcat game... This bobcat game next may be bigger than the Portland game after it.
Rules of ClutchCity * Can complain but you always believe we will do better than expected * Always root for our players no matter if they are having a bad game * We enjoy enlighted comments, but the trashing of each other is not tolerated * In Morey we trust * WE ARE HERE TO SEE ANOTHER CHAMPIONSHIP - REMEMBER RICHMOND ST. AFTER THE TITLES!!!!
OH MY GOD I dont know if anyone is watching the post game conference with Adelman. He seems like a TOTALLY different man up there fielding questions. He is a lot more upbeat, lively and confident about this team and where its headed. Maybe he really did not like Rafer and at least for this season McGrady's play out there. I mean I've seen games where the team won by a much larger margin and he looked like the sky was falling on him. Tonight two late clutch threes...the first pump and now this. I cant say i am super excited, but a huge win for the team not only for the playoff race but for the confidence in the young PGs. win or lose Rockets basketball has me excited again!
Adelman definitely had some philosophical differences with Alston and T-mac on how to play basketball.
Yeah, what coach wouldn't have differences with guys who dribble up the court and launch a 3 with 20 seconds on the shot clock?
Yea. Yao is going to get GASSED if the Rockets keep running up and down the court like that when he's out there. Step on the gas when Yao's out for a change of pace, otherwise slow it down to get in a rhythm, unless you get a fast break otherwise score or just sit there with the ball and wait for everyone to get back.
