    I know some of u in here just dislike Mobley due to his hogging the ball all the time. But I want to know how many of u in here would actually seriously trade Mobley in here. If it was up to me, I say anyone except Francis, Shandon, and Mobley are tradeable. I dont want to trade Mobley no matter who we get. Not for Eddie Jones, nor Tracy McGrady. Hill and Duncan are a pipe dream anyways. So would you all trade Mobes to move up in the draft, or trade him for another big guy like Brian Grant. If not Mobley, would you all trade Shandon. I hope whatever the Rockets do they decide to keep these three together. If he we have a 4 and a 5 whose average height is over 6'10 then I say they can make up for the height shortage of Mobes, Shandon, and Francis. And if we keep those three they would have to start, no buts about it. Mobley is not going to be willing to come of the bench forever. I would be extremely happy with Steve, Mobes, Shandon, Big guy who can reb and block shots, big guy who is an above average scorer.

    Rockets3,
    I like your small ball line-up, but what do we do when we play bigger teams. Remember that Garnett plays small forward. Shandon is a good defender; that's why he can play the three. But he's a natural two guard, and his offense would be hindered if he played the three spot, and big teams would put up big numbers on him.

    Personally, here's my line-up:

    PG: Francis, Moochie (I will miss Drew);

    SG: Anderson, Mobley; Mobley Anderson (depends on how well they are playing);

    SF: Hill (It's o.k. to dream), Williams; if no Hill, then Williams and a good rookie or a free-agent);

    PF: KENNY THOMAS (he deserves a chance to start), Fizer or Martin (I'll stay away from that debate!);

    C: Cato, Dream. If Cato won't play 30-35 minutes and perform, then we need some help here. Dream can't start or play big minutes without hurting us, so we should really look into this scenario).

    Now back to the original situation; I think it will boil down to Mobley or Anderson if we can land Duncan, Hill, or some other favorable situation. I doubt the Rockets would hesitate to give up either one if such a deal were on the table.

    Yes there are people like Garnett that play the 3. Well Garnett is going to do what he wants no matter who is guarding him. But why do u look at it as being only disadvantegous for us. Shandon would have more speed then most of the other threes. And the NBA is all about exploiting matchups. And most of the time I would say Mobes and Francis would be the better backcourt anyways. So being beaten at one position wont completely destroy out team. Most of the small forwards are not Garnett type, but more like Hill, Mash, Elliot, Rice, Spree, Finley, etc. And I would say that Shandon could hang with any of them. You do bring up a good point about his offense suffering though. But if we keep Shandon, Mobley and Francis, then they have to be in the starting lineup. Mobley is not going to want to come of the bench. Neither is Shandon. He wanted to be a starter, thats one reason he left that dump called Utah. Also I said we would have to compensate for the lack of height by having two bigger guys up front. Shot blockers would prevent teams from always trying to exploit our smaller guards. As for trading Shandon or Mobes for Hill or Duncan, I agree we would have to do it, but I would still have a really hard time breaking our nucleus.

    Rockets3,
    Good points. But I'd still on the balance have to leave Shandon at the 2, unless Mobley can't stand being second fiddle and Anderson won't accept that role.

    Hey its not like I want three of them starting. Im just saying if its a choice between Mobes and Shandon starting or trading them away then I would have go with the former. If we do actually get someone like Hill, Finley, or Odom, and Mobley would agree to come of the bench for the good of the team then that would be the perfect scenario for us. But like I said Mobes and Shandon wont agree to that. They are both young and want to showcase their skills. And being a starter would only help their cause.
