You sure didn't have a problem last week calling out those two posters who bet that the Blazers would beat the Lakers... but when I do it with someone who said the Sonics, I need to "get over it"? Looks like you need to get over it too...
that was because I said I would bet them that the Lakers would win. in your case Tolbert is on NBC , and he was asked to predict a winner.
If I remember correctly, wasn't the original thread a predictions thread, of sorts? Accordingly, they were asked to predict a winner as well. Tolbert wasn't asked to give a prediction; he volunteered the information, and when he said his reasoning it was obvious that he hadn't watched this year's Spurs team much at all. I can't think of many posters here who wouldn't be offended if some broadcaster started saying uninformed things to blast the Rockets.
dear god, do we have to relive this same thread every weekend when nbc shows games? Will we get this same thread EVERY GAME when the finals start on nbc?? I know, i know, if i don't care for the thread, i can just skip it. It just seems like between the "tolbert sucks" threads, the "move stevie to the 2" threads, and the "moochie sucks" threads, there isn't much creativity and ingenuity spewing from the brains of the BBSer's....

He(Tolbert) I dont even know his first name, gave his honest opinion on what he thought. Now if everyone was the same in life, they'd always pick the favorites, But people do have there opinion's and apparently NBC(one of the worlds best broadcasting channels)doesn't think he sucks, since he's on that chair everyweekend commenting on games for millions of people around the world and i'm at home with my strong opinion about the Memphis Grizzlies(talking to my dog about it.) NBC has it's choices of who they can hire and I think they make one they thought was a good choice. I don't care for the guy, But I don't really get all bent out of shape arguing over him.
I personally enjoy watching games broadcast on TNT far more than those on NBC. I think TNT has the better/more entertaining commentators (minus Sager) while airing the games NBC decides it doesn't want. I don't care how many times it's been said before, I'm gonna say it again. I think Tolbert's a moron and I think Walton's a moron.
I'll set this straight once and for all Hannah asked Tolbert to pick an upset. So he reluctantly picked the Sonics. And yes he sucks, but they all do so it doesn't matter does it?
He is disappointing.Tolbert doesn't analyse the games after they are over,all he does is laugh and joke.
Yeah, that Robert Horry/Will Smith joke he made Sunday was a real knee-slapper. Too bad I've heard that every day on Rome for the past five years. Even Jayson Williams(whose ONLY joke was that the Nets faxed Kerry Kittles on road trips) has a wider array of humor.
