Seen it mentioned (great catch) that flight 316 might have been the reason the Others were building a runway (early season 3, I think). So much there to forget.... Re: Ben Whenever something isn't explicitly shown, you've got to consider all options in play: -He killed Desmond & Family -He killed Desmond while going after family -He killed Penny and/or Charlie, but not Desmond -Desmond beat the crap out of him and saved his family -Someone else (Sayid, team Widmore) beat the crap out of him and saved the family
Spoiler Are we sure? We know they were on a boat in England, but he got to Los Angeles awfully quickly. I think the Ben thing is a big fake out to make the viewers think he's done something to Penny.
Interesting take on Sayid. Maybe that's why he was arrested. Maybe Ben went to find Sayid knowing he would beat him up. Then cops saw the beating and arrested Sayid
Looks like all last episode did was introduce several more questions. CRIKEY!!! I was starting to think all of them ended up on the plane as part of destiny. I mean...how does dipsh_t end up piloting the same plane they are all taking to get back to the island...even if you can explain how Sayid and Hurley ended up on the flight? I thought freaking Hurley was in jail? Did Ben break him out? Is there some clairvoyance going on? Or, is someone pulling their strings, e.g. the island or Ben (dude seems to always have something else going on we aren't aware of in his twisted, scheming head)?
Ok, so I’m lost (no pun intended)... From the previous episodes about the French folks, it doesn't seem Alex is Ben's daughter does it? So the whole thing about him avenging her death, seems fake. Or do we not really know that yet?
Sayid to Guam: this may hurt the thought that he intercepted Ben, but given his international assassinations, it would add up that he was being extradited to Guam for a killing that took place there. Ben may have snitched and set him up. Hurley - we're going to see his missing timeline, but Ben's lawyer mentioned last episode that he'd end up released for lack of evidence that morning. Frank the pilot - he mentioned last season that he was the original pilot for 815 but had to back out and let his buddy Matt Parkman take his place. He was flying the helicopter because he know that the ocean wreckage was a hoax from the footage of the pilot. He was hoping to find out what happened to his friend. Anywho - not much of a stretch that he went back to his original occupation in the 3 years since returning. Alex wasn't Ben's biological, but she meant more to him than any person we've seen other than Annie. And we've seen his temper at work (episode with Juliette). Evan
just wanted to say that the man at the airport who said that he was sorry for the death of Jacks friend is a famous french actor, Said Taghmaoui. He is most famous for the french film "la haine" a great actor, so it will be interesting to see what role he will take in Lost!!
So, what did you think about tonight's show. I will say that Lost is the fastest hour of tv, it just seems to fly by. BTW, I had a thought about last week's episode. I think that Kate was threatened into going to Jack in order to get pregnant. Aaron is the leverage. She needed to get pregnant before going back to the island.
I'm tired of Lost and Heroes not having people fully explain things when talking to other characters. "Why do we need to go back John?" "Because the Island is skipping around time and the rest of the survivors are going to die if you don't come back and stop the time skips." "Oh snap, that actually makes sense considering all the other crazy things that happened there, when do we need to leave?"
so...Lapidus is the freaking bomb. He crash lands a JUMBO JET and it doesn't even seem like anything is damaged. This guy must be the G.P.O.A.T. The Greatest Pilot of All Time
I guess the big question coming out of this episode is why did Ben kill Locke after he talked him down from committing suicide? 1) There's some rule that you can't die by suicide, the ultimate sin. The island wouldn't welcome Locke back if he did that. 2) Ben needed one piece of info from Locke, Eloise Hawking, before he died. Locke needed to die anyway but if he hadn't have told anybody that Ms. Hawking was the one who knew how to get them back, nobody would have been able to go back to the island. So once Ben got that information, Locke was free to die. I think Ben was never supposed to return to the island. But he took over Locke's mission so that he could tag a ride back. That's why he suffered injuries in the crash while presumably the O5 + Lapidus were scratch free.
I always wondering why, when Jack and others questioned him about believing in the island mysteries, why Locke didn't ever just say "I was paralyzed and the island cured me!!!"
i agree with the kate theory. something happened to kate, hugo and sayid to bring them back obviously, but i think only kate and sayid were forced to come back. i can see aaron being used as leverage to make kate go back. she seemed like she was not happy to be with jack or to be on the plane. hugo, i think charlie told him to go or something, i dunno.
That would seem to be the implication. But why would Jack, Kate, and Hurley flash off of the plane while Sun is left to crash with everybody else? And we still have no clue about Sayid.
