Source? If you got this from SR610, he never mentioned anything about not resigning Artest. He simply stated the need to look for a marquee/big name offensive player in the offseason to help out Yao.
Didnt actually read or hear what was said, but I am sure he just said that we will sign a star this summer. Remember we have the MLE, and it is possible Artest told the team he wasnt resigning except for a certain price.. These are my assumptions.
Morey doesn't care, the Rockets are clearly preparing for the future, not this season. Management knows we aren't going anywhwere this year. Hell so does my shoe.
He didn't say that.....but Artest has to be hoping for a S&T this summer because I doubt he gets more than a MLE offer otherwise. DD
I'd be shocked if Morey said what is quoted in the OP. I'm not saying he didn't but I can't see how that could have any kind of positive effect on anything, especially considering Artest's personality. Does anybody have the exact words?
All that was said is that they miss tracy and will need to look to fill his void in the summer. nothing about artest.
Either way, it's in Ron's best interest to keep his head on straight, and be productive. If he doesn't, he won't be seeing another big contract come this offseason.
