They're both losers in different ways. T-Mac is an attention w**** who really doesn't care about the team. Alston has an inflated sense of self-worth and gives advice counter to the wishes of Adelman and the rest of the staff.
You're right in that his contract will be valuable next year but I suppose he could also suffice as another 'big body' considering he's 6'9" 250 lbs right now. We all know Cook is a soft and a one-trick-pony but I suppose he provides depth.
Stabbing someone and driving under the influence and taking horribly ill-advised shots does not constitute a consummate professional.
the worst thing is the Rockets dont even have a draft pick this year. WTF if the Rockets miss the playoffs? Terrible trade!
I think this trade is good. We lost a good player but we got a bit deeper and younger. Lowry will compliment Yao well because he can drive and finish and is a good defender. Cook will be a good pick and pop guy but his defense might not be so good.
and we gave the grizz back their second pick in the francis "trade" so unless les is willing to buy a pick this off season again we just have our second rounder
we were after caron butler!!!!! http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomon/2009/02/post_80.html Any idea on what the Rockets were offering for Caron Butler and any idea on what the Wizards wanted? --------------------------------------------------------- Supposedly straight up for Artest. The Wizards didn't want anybody. They weren't interested. I'm sure if you brought up Yao Ming, they would have been interested, but that would have been stupid. This trade officially spells the end of the McGrady era. Sad that it has to close this way. Good luck Rafer. You had your faults but I never doubted your heart.
