Ironically I think that Orlando is the perfect other place for Rafer to go to - a defense first coach like the one he thrived under (JVG, meet SVG), no pressure as a shooter (which seemed to be when he shot best), and not as many great PG to deal with in playoffs (Rondo, Mo Williams, AI, Bibby vs. Deron, CP3, Parker, Billups).

I didn't hate him, but he made me cringe sometimes... I hope this works out for the Rockets the way Morey thinks it will...

The only thing that really worries me about losing Rafer is ... I keep thinking of the Utah series last year and how we were so horrible in the games he was out. Hopefully AB and Lowry can handle the playoff pressure...

    Thats not true
Lowry is Chuck around the 3 point line, so that we won't have the spacing that we had with Rafer

I am very happy.. Why? Because Kyle Lowry can get to the rim anytime he wants.

    Rafer? He sucks.

Lowry's shooting may be bad but he's just 22; and can do a lot of things Rafer never could.

    I'm happy.

You pretend as if Rafer is going to take us to the promised land. Face it guys, this season we'll probably not go very far in the playoffs and once again we'll have the same team next year hoping for an injury free season. It's time to get a different mentality and start looking towards the future. At least now, we'll know what we have in Brooks; we also get another potentially good point guard for cheap.

I don't understand why people don't like this trade. The Rockets are still a solid team and Brooks growth will be fantastic to this team. The team had gone as far is it could go with Rafer as PG and it was time to shake things up.

This trade is great and I could only wish Rafer the best. He always was professional during his time here and I'm glad we gave him a home in a contending team with the opportunity to start for the time being (plus reunite with SVG).

this is my first post and definitely a alson hater, so yea im glad that alston is gone!

but seriously though houston got robbed, brian cook  and two random bums. the only way this trade could be good is if kyle lowry reaches the promised potential that he never got to reach in Memphis because the lack of minutes.

the real reason though i wanted alston gone is so that brooooooks! could develope but now they got kyle lowry ? i hope that brooks plays way more minutes than before and hopefully starts over lowry.

    broooooooooooks!

dont count on lowry to do that, he gets the line on average 3 times a game
