Rafer Alston will surely be missed. He played stellar defense for his size. His assist to turnover ratio was near the top. He ran the offense well when McGrady was out. HORRIBLE MOVE.
Count me as a fan. Total pro, didn't sulk when AB cut into his playing time and always was team first ahead of his stats. At least he got sent to a winning situation and not to the Griz, Lowry has a lot to live up to.
I think i may go to the game April 7th vs orlando just in honor of rafer alston however, I am ready for a change
Thank you Rafer for all those clutch shots you have done as a Rocket. I know you had so many struggles as well, but you were the guy WHO GAVE 110% every single nigh. I love you, and I will miss you...
For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow For he's a jolly good fellow (pause), which nobody can deny Which nobody can deny, which nobody can deny For he's a jolly good fellow, for he's a jolly good fellow For he's a jolly good fellow (pause), which nobody can deny
wtf. your jersey is the only jersey i have... and will continue to have only this one for a long time...
jesus, i can't believe the jackasses that come to an appreciation thread to hate on rafer. like it or not, he kept this team afloat and was instramental in 22 wins. Tmac was hot and mostly cold during the 22. as soon as rafer goes down, we lose to the jazz again. he will be missed. he was a great ball handler, i don't think yall remember how bad it is in the NBA to have a turnover machine, and alston always had a low turnover rate. also, his toughness. i will miss the fact that rafer was the toughest player on the rockets now that artest is so image conscience. rafer did not back down from anyone. orlando is going to challenge in the eastern conference, and may get to the chanpionship.
I am not a rafer lover, actually I hate his teardrop everytime he launched it. But I do appreciate his competitiveness, he is a man like all rockets except one (we all know who she is).
I'm happy for Rafer and wish him the best. It's nice, for once, to see a player like him traded with no drama or story behind it. I will definitely be tuning in to more Orlando games to see him play. Hope they do well, but not too well
Skip you really grew on me. I thought you were a great point guard and a great fit for our team. Good luck!
Skip, thanks for knowing how to make an entry pass and thanks for knowing the meaning of the word "assist." Good luck in Orlando with the best center in the League.
