Welcome. That green slime in your eyes is the algea from the rock you just crawled out from under and the rubber in your mouth is from your shoe. Before posting again, please go back and read old posts for a couple years back and educate yourself before slamming your foot in your mouth again!!
who said were done? how bout the fans? good for the fans and demote? sad a post has that much meaning to you, to declare demotions. i'll try to quit having an opinion. thats like 8 now
I think Morey did all the right trade before this Rafer trade... I can't argue if this is a good or bad trade yet from the basketball stand point, but I do think that this trade has a much bigger negative effect on Yao's decision to stay or not...
This trade was a first step in getting rid of a big contract for the 2010 and in return getting a decent PG to fill the void for the time being. This is not a move preparing for this year play off. Seems to me Les is behind. With T-mac screwing the team over, they know realistically there's no way to win it this year.
i hate green slime, and sorry the rock was heavy..... just cause i don't have 752,003 post don't mean i aint got an opinion...quit being a post baby!
I honestly can't say Morey is good or bad until I found out who the **** turned down McGrady/Billups trade in the summer.
I just have a feeling that something else is going on, we are going to get B. Davis. What is the rule as of now? As long as you are in negotiations, you can keep trade talk for the day. ??
I didn't take him 3 years, it took him about 5 minutes, thats why his first draft pick was Aaron Brooks.
Just look at what he started with when he took over and look what we have now. I know its hard to remember, since you need a memory that last longer then a few days
it took him 3 years to find a taker. you cant blame him for not being able to find a team that wanted a PG making about $5M who is average at best..... even then it took a desperate team with an injured all star at that position to make it happen. MOREY is a GOD!
It is still in your eyes. You missed by 751,000 posts. Don't get so sensitive. If you have an opinion, great. If you have one that is way over in right field, prepare to be flamed. It is tradition. Surely you must have read this board more than once in the last 7 years.
Getting Artest was easier then a lot think. He was screaming he wants out. He was lowering his own value. Kings wanted him out. Whats so hard to understand. Not many teams were sure of taking him on even as an expiring. Landry was another chance. Not many teams wanted to use a early pick on him due to his durability. ___ ___ He had a chance to get CV (actually build around Yao). He had a chance at a legit PG and dumping salary at the same time.
I think Morey did this deal just to shut up Ocho Texto. Otherwise, I don't understand the rationale if Brian Cook has a player option at $3.5 million for next year, meaning we will not clear luxury tax room. If this is about starting AB, there was nothing preventing us from starting AB and bringing Rafer off the bench.
How you or anyone else could question Morey is beyond any thinking of mine even on my dumbest day. Morey completely cleaned up the horrible financial situation that the Rockets were in and dumped a lot of bad players on other teams and cleared up a lot of money. He has brought in one talented player after another, but some of them just didn't work out like Francis, Wells, James, and a few others, but once it it was evident that they weren't what they had in the past he was still able to find a way to succer other teams into grabbing them. We haven't lost one player since he has been here that went to another team and lit up. The guy knows how to dump bad contracts better than anyone and is extremely aggressive about making moves to improve the team. He is the best GM the Rockets have ever had by far since I've been alive. No one in their right mind would question this guy.
Dorsey won't play in the NBA and Green was a bust, just like in college, even though he was instrumental in getting Artest. Artest will be one year and done. Brooks is about to be exploited, just watch and see. There are plenty of Carl Landrys in the NBA, he really isn't anything special. If he was a solid defender, then yea id say he is valuable-but he isn't, he sucks at defense. Scola plays hard. Does he do anything else well? Not really. His defense and athleticism is the worst among starting powerfowards in the league
