Some of you guys are not making sense about clearing out the way for Brooks.. If the management has that much confidence in Brooks, why not just start Brooks and let Rafer to be the backup? Nobody would question about the switch of roles if Brook shows that he is better than Rafer at the starting position... Brooks is not Yao Ming, I don't think the Rox needs to gamble like that to push him to become the "1"...

Needs a third choice: Depends on whether or not there's another trade.

In voted NO but I'm actually in the middle... My concern is we do not have a real playmaker down the stretch where everybody is trying to fight to playoff position...

This doesn't surprise me at all. Les thinks highly of Aaron Brooks, and the Magic needed a starting PG now that Jameer is out.

Kyle Lowry, though... I mean, honestly? This guy is pathetic from 3-point range

Cook will be off the books after this season, though, so I can kind of understand that. That will be 3.5$ million right there.

I don't like the trade at all. We gave up our starting PG for pretty much absolutely nothing.

Aaron... you better be the PG we've been needing.

Lowry is not a dam PG and Brooks is also more of a scorer...

Does he want Barry to run the team?

I am not sure whether the trade is good or not. Need to see how the guy fit into the team first but then age wise, the trade looked good.

I don't like the trade. Yes, it is true that I have been one of the many critics of Alston; however, I felt that if the team couldn't move McGrady (made even more impossible by what that turd pulled recently), then we didn't need to make any trades.

I felt that our team was still solid with Wafer starting at the 2 and having Artest as the 6th man. But getting rid of Alston really messes up our chemistry. Unless there is another deal out there that we don't know about, this deal really makes no sense to me. Of course, there's the possibility that this is a move for next season to bring in an impact player like how we got Bobby Jackson so we could use him to get Artest.

I don't have a problem with Brooks starting but I don't know how our bench is going to be with Lowry taking his spot. It could very well be one of those situations where Morey and Adelman are really in love with Lowry's game while everyone else (which is like the whole board) disagrees. And I wouldn't really want Baron Davis (too many concerns about injuries and his attitude plus his contract is terrible) but if getting him meant getting rid of punk McGrady, then so be it. But it looks like that isn't happening, either. Hopefully, there won't be any deals that involve Artest, Landry, Battier, etc. unless they involve McGrady and we get quite a bit of talent back in return.

Don't give people 3 choices, make a choice folks.

If you are indifferent don't vote.

I like it....good deal, not a great one, but a good one.

Rafer is not a starting point guard of a championship team.

    This is a good deal.

I love the trade. Rafer is way too inconsistent to be our STARTING PG. Lowry and Brooks are fresh, young, explosive, fast, quick, etc.

Rafer is experienced, and a pretty decent leader, but his offense has been very, very shaky during his years in Houston.

I never liked Rafer but I feel like we got complete garbage back. I don't see anything coming of this that will help us. Is this all Morey could come up with? We are a weaker team now because at least Rafer had some experience. I wanted him gone for a decent point guard like Hinrich, Nash, Bibby. We get freaking garbage in return and not even a first round draft pick. There better be more trades coming through that aren't being reported yet or we are in trouble i'm afraid.

if it was done for financial reason.. to increase the likelihood of re-signing Artest.. I like it.. Artest > Alston as far as this team's needs go..

if it was done to accommodate Tracy.. simply put.. how stupid can you be..?

if it was done for the sole purpose of obtaining Lowry.. well..

If Rafer is not a starting Pg of a championship team then you could say Brook's is not a PG for a playoff team.

    we're not a championship team.

but rafer gives us a better chance to advance than lowry or brooks starting.

We just gave up 50cents for a quarter and a time. And No, dollar isn't cap, that's how low I'd rate Rafer, Lowry, and Cook.

Hell no, We got crap on this deal. Brian Cook is the biggest scrub in this league and Rafer Alston is a late blooming PG. Just wow.
