They must have been desperate to get rid of one of those draft picks.

They probably see those draft picks as 5 guaranteed contracts, not 5 chances to land serviceable players. But 5 first rounders in 2 years is a bit much though.

I personally would have loved to see Sefolosha to Houston to be the interm T-mac. I remember he was the guy JVG was wanting in the Gay/Battier draft. I would have been happy with a Lowery and Sefolosha trade for Rafer, plus.....but Brian Frickin Cook....UGGGG.

I think the Thunder won that deal!

So the Thunder finally have their SG. Thasha is pretty servicable. A big defensive minded 2, is a good fit for the Thunder.

I like Sefolosha, but I'm not sure about his game. He has better then average handles for a 2-3, long arms and is a willing defender, but he doesn't shoot particuliarly well and doesn't seem to have the athleticism to do to much around the basket.

Sefolosha's a very nice swing option off the bench. He didn't morph into the star that Chicago was gambling for, but he's much better than his numbers. Very little playing time for him with the two guard spots overloaded.

He's mostly all athleticism, but he's got a good knack for the game.

Sefolosha seems to have all the tools to be a good player but for some reason he just can't put it together. Chicago's crowded back court may have something to do with it. This could be a good trade for OKC depending on which pick they sent out.

    not defensively.for sure.

great trade by OKC. He won't be taking away shots from Durant and Green and we get to witness more KD Madness!

Kyle Weaver starting? I love the kid but hes not ready

They already have enough guards/wings as it is. This really wasn't a good trade for the Thunder, Bulls won this trade. Bulls have been destroying this trade deadline in general.

Sefolosha is okay but I find it kind of disturbing he is able to net a first-rounder yet Luther can't. Luther has had a better career and at least brings one valuable asset to any team: shooting. All Sefolosha has is athleticism and even that hasn't been enough. Sure, a change of scenery might do him well but part of you has to wonder if Sefolosha will ever get it together.

I dont get whats wrong with chandler though. Is his injury career threatening because I dont see what could be so bad from OKC to say no to a young big man like that.

My assumption on the matter was that it would be a nagging injury, but not necessarily career threatening. But more importantly, Chandler let it be known that he didn't want to be there. AKA, perfect excuse to lolly gag throughout the next couple years of his career while collecting 11mil/year.

    *Fixed, lol

But seriously, that was another thought that came to mind. Luther has been a much better player than Sefolosha. Makes me wonder how we didnt get in on a deal like that.

We already know what Luther is going to give for the rest of the season. Sefolosha still has some potential left. The rockets were going to draft him if they couldnt trade gay for battier.

No kidding but that isn't exactly something you should feel comfortable repeating. I'm fine with the Battier trade but the sheer fact that our scouts were so terribly wrong about both Sefolosha and Gay is really quite disturbing.
