Alston is a good fit for Yao. Brooks may have a good future. But I really can not see the fit between him and Yao. Why the Allstar game is not for Yao? Because Yao is slow and the game is fast. Yao should be in a half-court team, not in a hit and run team.
Giving out Alston for almost nothing at this critical time is so bad! He has only 4 million salary. What's more can you expect from him?

Alston is a good fit for mediocre.

Well, Yao has already given the hint, he did not take the extension twice this season

I doubt Rafer Alston would be the deciding factor in Yao leaving or staying.

    Get real

And Kyle Lowry will give you that?

    Or hmph, Aaron Brooks?

I never thought Rafer could be a starting pg for a championship team. This will not affect Yao's decision.

I disagree with much of what you said, but this is just another heat-of-the-moment panic thread.

I agree with you, AB is not a good passer, not especially for Yao.
Trade's done, let's wait and see what's gonna happen on court.
If Yao couldn't go out of first round again this year, he probably opt out of contract in 2010.

brooks is a better shooter and slasher, passing in the paint needs working but the shooting and the slashing is a must for yao's system

if you cant hit the 3's then they wont stop doubling yao as we have all seen in the past with rafer open getting the dish from yao and still missing a bit.

Where do you think Yao's going to go? What team besides the Rockets has him down as their first choice for a supermax contract signing in 2010?

    I just wish.

    I will say it again.

Apart from clearing the cap for Ron Ron resigning I don't see any logic here.

Yao will not leave Houston without very good reasons.
But the rebuilding is a reason good enough.
Yao is eager to prove himself in playoff, as he has mentioned many times, he cannot afford to waiting another 2 or 3 years.

Any player that wants to leave the Rockets please do. DREAM, THE ALL TIME GREATEST ROCKET IN HISTORY actually left HOUSTON and we move on.

I could care less about Yao moving on and we've got exactly no where in the playoffs with him. Please take the slow boat back to China.

HTown will move on without him.
