Damnit. Rafer pissed all of us off with his clank clank clanking, but he did run this team well and brought some fire and toughness. Appreciated

    Good luck Rafer :(

Couldn't shoot consistently at all, but he was a team first guy. Rock solid handling the ball. Rock solid feeding Yao. Showed up and played on both ends.

He was never an all-star, but he was a fair care-taker of our offense.

    And he didn't quit.

I forgot that Ron Jeremy had Rafer when he coached the Heat.

Man that dude is crapping all over himself with pleasure.

I think many won't miss Rafer ability to handle the ball and set up the offense until after he's gone. That said, I think he gave 100% even if he shot 37%. I'll miss having playground legend Rafer Alston on the Rockets.

    THANKS FOR EVERYTHING RAFER!
    Best of luck to you!

I will miss you, Rafer! I truly enjoyed throwing my hands up when you miss your shots but clapping when you make your shots. You have a better chance of winning a championship than us! Good for you!

Skip we'll miss you. You couldn't penetrate much, your shot was shaky (but BOY did u come through big a few times), your teardrop was heartbreaking, but no one could ever doubt your heart and team-first attitude.

Rafer had heart and played hard...not terribly happy about the trade.

Rafer was a streaky shooter at best. His tear drop made people cry because it was so bad. And he would have moments of boneheadedness where he decides he's going to take a shot no matter what.

BUT...he was always a professional. He never complained when we tried out 20 other people to replace him at PG every season - and he would come out on top anyways. He's a good distributor. You never questioned if Alston wasn't giving his best effort. He went from street ball to the NBA, no small feat and an example of his hard work. He just didn't have a good jump shot...his major downfall.

And for better or worse he was as close as we had to a leader - remember he called out Artest on the court on broken plays this season. I hope our chemistry doesn't go to hell now.

Rafer, I salute you, good luck in Orlando.

Tough Rocket, played with heart. He had that attitude that carried us through our 22 game streak.

You can question is decision making, you can question his ability.

You CANNOT question his work ethic or his heart.

Enjoyed watching you played, and appreciate all your dedication to our Rockets franchise.

Thank you, Rafer Alston. You may have had your ups and downs with us, but you always managed to keep your personal life separate from your on-court play and do us right. There's no question you gave us everything you had, and as such, we did you right by dealing you to another team with a great chance to contend this summer.

I wish you nothing but the best. Peace!
