It depends on whether a trade is made or not before trade deadline.
Everything is not certain until then.
    I have faith!

No this team is not built for the playoffs, because of two reasons (actually three but that's not the team's fault):

    - we're too short at PF, so a trade for another back-up PF with size and athelticism is definetly needed. Some1 who Carl has to share his minutes with. If that means parting with Hayes, so be it.

    - we're not deep enough at PG, because during the playoffs I do not see AB having the confidence we need from him. The main problem is with AB, if his shooting his off, his whole game is off which would devastating in the playoffs. This because Rafer is not the best man at the job, a very good one nonetheless, because he is sreaky and those quick threes and floaters instead of making the easy lay-up off the glass will hurt us. Sign a veteran like Cassell would be the best option in my opinion.

    - the last thing is the fact RA doesn't like to use Mutombo so there's really no back-up Center. However, we'll see how RA will react if we do not get another big and he's pushed into a corner come playoff time when we're outblocked, outrebounded and heavily undersized.

The truth hurts. A more vexing question to ponder is how Les got rich? In wasn't because of his basketball expertise. The team is built around to two "superstars" who are not really superstars, too passive, too fragile, too absent. They are then surrounded by Moneyball players. That is a formula that hasn't worked, doesn't work, won't work. The Rockets are at the stage of reconfigure or go figure.

Adleman said it best, consistency was our biggest problem.

    Problem is now solved.

    Prepare for maximum ownage.

Championship contender, probably not...play off contender I think we can be...i say we can be something around 49-33 to 52-30...make it to 2nd round....i would at least be satisfied since it's been 10 years or so since we have had a play off win...
