That's what I'm thinking as well. Though nothing on their roster outside of Martin really excites me...
Thanks Doc, your posts are one the great things about this board. I hate to say it but that hockey guy was right all along. The motto for the night is we stand pat, enjoy the new Rockets TEAM for the rest of this season wherever that takes us and move the "Goldmine" next year. The team can finally put all the nonsense behind them and just play basketball. I am looking forward to it. Guys like Yao, Shane and Scola are easy to root for so let's see where they can take us. And hopefully Tracy does get "Marburied" until we can trade him next year.
True, and earlier Doc did respond to DD with this... "I don't see how they can trade Artest now, DD - - do you?"
Who is to say that Morey has given up on the Suns new regime? Amare is the splash he is working on now and nothing else.
This is what I figured as well. Sounds like we're talking about sending Artest "Back to Cali." or off "to the Sac."
simple, he left the word 'back' out of the quote because the person he is referring to has never played in for a Cali team. (Tracy)
And the Kings are purple, not blue... Edit: Though, like I said earlier, his "hit the sack" line really makes me think the Kings as well.
Ron Ron is going BACK to SAC(k)... And the Rox are trading T-Mac next season as an expiring... for many players from Golden State, or Denver... potentially? So who are we getting? For Artest?
The Back missing, I think is referring to McGrady (remember, before the knee problems, he had back problems). I think he was re-affirming that we're shopping TMac to a California team. I'm puzzled by this: "Something may pop up out of the blue tomorrow." When you think blue, and Cali, you think sea. Two teams have sea-faring names. The Lakers and the Clippers. I don't think we deal with the Lakers. Now, I'm wondering if we're dealing with the Warrior, Clippers, or both... And for those who laugh at this, hey, at least it gives me something to do...
Just checked this out. Turns out that Artest can't be traded back to Sacramento by NBA rules. Artest was traded by Sacramento during the current Salary Cap Year (the current July 1 – June 30 period) so NBA rules stipulate that Artest cannot be reacquired by Sacramento again until the next Salary Cap Year or until he has first been waived. This trade cannot continue.
