This is the third trade this season for the Grizzlies where they are trading a player to make some cash. If the Rockets want to add another 7 footer for the playoffs, Head + Dorsey for Mihm would work. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2009/feb/18/grizzlies-acquire-expiring-contract-lakers-center-/
Are we ever going to get a backup center for Yao or we going to go small whenever he goes out? Mutombo isn't going to be around forever.....Mihm would of been a good replacement.
If we get a backup C, I'd like to get a guy that is athletic and can block shots. Mihm ain't that guy. So regarding Mihm on our team, ...meh. If only Dorsey were 3 inches taller.
i was watching mihm play last night... he was trash. does nothing offensively.... cant speak for his defense but nothing stood out when watching him. but hey, he's a big body and i guess that's why fans want him here
If you think a professional sports team would go out of their way to trade one complete scrub primarily due to a fight with another complete scrub, I have to question whether you've played on a sports team in your life.
Do they know there are 28 other teams in the league? It's almost as if they have a hookup or something.
a second rounder, conditional, 5 drafts into the future. and they had to pay the other team. that's gotta be the near the bottom of the trade value totem pole. usually they leave you with some dignity and only make the pick 1 or 2 years in the future.
if the rockets wanted to play a guy like chris mihm in the playoffs we had better be up by 30 with 3 minutes to go, otherwise Id rather go with a 5 guard golden state lineup.
Chris Mihm was pretty good prior to the Gasol trade. He was injury prone, but he was a very serviceable backup big during his time in the lime light. I certainly liked him over Kwame Brown. Then Bynum grew up and Gasol came to town, so I guess the lack of playing made him fat and lazy lol. He was a pretty good player for backup though, so if the Grizz are willing to part with him for Luther, Dorsey and cash I'd do it. Can't hurt to have another big in the lineup.
