Of course the NBA will suspend him before the game.

Well as I type this it says on the bottom of ESPN News that he is suspended 2 games without pay.

Wow less games than I thought.

wonder what homedude said to him? not condoning it at all, but you know he said something that he'd probably get punched for in the real world.

Only 2 games for a point blank punch to the chops? That's like a slap on the wrist.

Not so sure about that. ;)

It is kind of funny that after the punch was thrown no Sun's players tried to confront Randloph, it looked like bench players were in at the time. The fact that it didn't escalate may be why he only got 2 games unlike Melo last year.

I like it how guys see inferior guys as far as fighting is concerned, and are ready to throw down right away, but when they see someone of equal size or even bigger they just stand around like b*tches trying to act tough.

Wait he got 2 games for throwing a PUNCH, but people get suspended for 1 game for just leaving the bench.

LOL. How many games did Melo get for throwing that punch? I know it wasn't 2.

I'd probably take Z-bo in a fight against any player in the NBA. Dude's straight up scary looking when he's pissed off. Plus he's quick with that left blow. I think he knocked the F out of Ruben Patterson literally (out for minutes) with 1 punch back when they were both Blazers.

Actually Alando Tucker tried too, but he didn't do anything effective.

Either way, that was a weak punch by Randolph, Did anyone notice that his fist wasn't even closed?

When you run away from Nate Robinson, I think it's quite deserving you get suspended for 15 games especially when he threw a punch at Mardy Collins.

Randolph didn't run away like Melo did, plus Nuggets/Knicks Brawl was one of the biggest and longest since the Pacers/Pistons one.

It's too bad he was officially named a reserve that year too, because he deserved it and he was the league leader in scoring until Iverson came. Poor Melo.

Yeah didn't he swell up Patterson's eye and I don't think Ruben is lightweight.

    Yeah Tucker quickly backed off.

Well Randolph said it wasn't a punch, he said it was more of a push. He went on to say if he punched him the guy wouldn't have gotten up. Also said he punched him because it looked like Admunson or w/e his name is was trying to kiss him.

Wouldn't call that a full punch... it was kind of a half-face shove... don't think it would have done any damage to amundsen, and there was a lot of dramatics involved in his reaction
