That would be a terrible deal. Baron Davis is on the books until 2013 and Zach Randolf is due $33 Million over the next two years not including this year. No Thanks!!!!!!! At least if we keep Tracy then next year his contract will be worth gold.
I think this is the dude. He played in scotts offense, he moves well without the ball and he will attack the rim and run on the break. It would be nice if they threw in Elson also.
If the 2010 rules apply. These are the names the Rockets can take on without worrying about luxury tax: Camby David Lee Turkoglu Okur Mike Miller
WIth respect, you are FIXATED on the 2010 offseason. I know Les stated he wants to be a player in that sweepstakes, but Morey more recently called it overrated, and I think circumstances have pushed us in a different direction. If Les can make us compete now, forget 2010.
The Rockets are the ones talking about 2010 and making possible moves that won't impact cap flexibility then.
But we would be legit contenders with that deal I believe.... I do nmot want to waste another valuable year of Yaos career.
I think Morey should try to pick up JJ Redick. And Vasilis Spanoulis! And Dan Langhi!! Do I get an upgrade, too, DD?
My guess is Amare Stoudemire. Great player with a reasonable contract owned by a team with a cost cutting GM
Hey i dont know about there contracts nut what about trying to get gerald wallace and raymond felton from the bobcats
Just heard that The Bulls are looking to move guard Kirk Hinrich and forward Andres Nocioni, according to ESPN's John Hollinger. Could this be two guys with bad contracts we could get for a steal?
Why is everyone still trying to get rid of Artest? Artest has not been a disappointment this year as others have indicated. Especially now that McGrady is out, I can't think of a larger hole to fill with Artest leaving. In the games he's played this year without Mac in the lineup, he's played great and within the system. No ballstopping (occasional missed jumpshots...but those were good looks). I think the Rockets can/should stand pat and go deep in the playoffs this year. They've beaten 2 subpar teams (Nets and Kings) in a row, but it's the way they've played in those games (esp last night including ARTEST) that indicates a great team on the rise this season...
