I think after how bad hakeem has played, the best deal we can get is David Wingate and Chris Dudley for Hakeem Olajuwon.

They cant trade him b/c of everything he has done for the Rockets. Plus with the Rockets stadium coming up for a vote in November the last thing you want to do is trade away the fans favorite Rocket for the past decade+.

    Lets get Tim Duncan!

    ------------------
And with the number one pick in the draft, the Rockets select ...

    Khalid Al Amin?

El Amin looks like a chubby gerbil. [IMG]

He is funny. He could be like a mascot, and a role model for fat everywhere.

    Go big.

Why don't we trade Dream to the Bulls for Maloney?

I believe they were interested in Hakeem as an experienced center to lend some support to their team. He had two years left on his contract, and was still a solid player.

This was before a long rehab period, before his respiratory difficulties, and before he struggled on the court. With one year left before his announced retirement (at $16 M), his level of play in question, and even the big question of whether he will even play next year, teams won't be seeking to trade for him.

He will finish his career in Houston.
