With Tracy out now, which is the best way to go?

    Scenario A....

    Let all these contracts expire, keep Yao, and go gangbusters on the 2010 FA market. Yao is not getting any younger, but he will still be a top 2 center in the NBA for another 5-7 years. I'm not in any hurry to take on big bogus contracts or risk it on unknown commodities... lets wait and sign some proven talent. Another first round exit this year, miss the playoffs next year.. then go for broke.

    lol, Yao isn't going to be top 2 center for another 5-7 years. Our window of opportunity is very small. That's why Morey tried hard to put together a team that can contend for a championship. Too bad things didn't pan out.

    Maybe I am a little biased since I go to Purdue and have been a fan of Landry for years, but I think giving up Artest, Landry, and Battier/Brooks is giving up way too much for Carter.
