Alot of people say that we need a true point guard that can distribute the ball, look to pass first, and not turn the ball over. We'd also like this point guard to be able to perform under pressure like during the playoffs. Well look no further than the league playoff leaders for assist to turnover ratio...

    AST/TO Playoff Leaders
    1. R. Livingston, SEA 9.00
    2. D. Jones, DET 8.00
    3. J. Stockton, UTH 5.00
    4. S. Kerr, POR 5.00
    5. N. Van Exel, DAL 4.67

Why did we let these players go and kept an overpaid Mooch (Jones and Livingston are near the league minimum salaries I assume) and Tierre Brown?

In trying to keep Francis happy, that is keeping his friends on the team, after Mobley, Moochie is the next guy that is on Franchise's untouchable list. I think, the Rockets overpaid him though and we would have been better off with Damon Jones even though he isn't as cool or a character like Moochie. But every team needs a character besides the star and that's what mooch is.

I'm tired of the front office kissing Francis' ass.

The only players in the league who deserve GM status would be Shaq, Kobe, T-Mac, and Duncan.

Francis would be probably #15 or #20, if I made a list...

Those stats are skewed by the lack of playing time for those two players. For instance, Jones has played 16mpg for the Pistons thus far - 5 games - and had 8 assists vs 1 turnover. That's the same for one or two game(s) during the regular season or playoffs for many PGs. His impact was negligible.

Livingston's aren't much better. He's played 17mpg over 4 games for the Sonics and has 9 assists to one turnover; again, not much better than a single game or two for a lot of players. His impact, while more noticable, is still not that of a starting PG.

Both players are fair 3rd stringers, mediocre 2nd stringers, and most suited to be CBA stars like both have been. Neither is a good true PG and definately not better than either Francis or Moochie.

Increase the sample size and you will get much more accurate results.

As much as I disagree with kidrock8 on our assessment of Kenny Thomas, man I love him sometimes!

I'm not married to a two shooting guard offense with no frontcourt, why in the f!ck are we building one just to appease this flakey celebrity who refers to himself in third person. Sounds like Les is embracing the guy who is most likely to refill his seats.

Les!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just give us a 50% discount like Utah and Seattle...you do not need to go to bed with a man who is afraid to play his real position.

Yes, apparently Steve has taken over the role as GM/Player. Why do you think he's going to watch the lottery? He runs this damn team and has Rockets' management by the nuts.

You are right mfclark! I wouldn't trade the Mooch for either of those two. I was just trying to rock to boat a little and see what people's opinions were on the intersting stat I found. Lucky for me kidrock8 replied. Nothing gets people going more than kidrock8's input. :p

Before this yea, when Mooch was an FA, everyone and their mother was praying we could resign him.
