Seriously, so far it has been only T-mac said he needs surgery and the team has yet to announce it. So how true is that? Does T-mac really need surgery? Does the team agree he needs surgery? Do the team doctors argee with it? Who advice T-mac to have the surgery?
There are still so many unknowns here so we better don't make the conclusion yet!

    Then Salmons for whom?

If what Feigen said was true, Morey is really a genius. The acquisition of Bobby Jackson during the regular season was indeed aimed at Ron Artest in the summer.

    4. A new injury happened recently that began small and was difficult to detect but has reached a point where micro-fracture surgery is required.

    5. Tmac's pride was damaged to the core by Sportscenter placing his failed dunk as their #1 biggest goof play of the season so far. Before dismissing this one consider that he held the pride of being the scoring champion 2 years in a row. It's a long way to fall and he might not be able to fail down that far with no excuses ready.

I'm guessing it all comes down to if our team doctors and experts are convinced of this. If they don't he will be tainted forever.

Wow, that's good to hear, Vince Carter was never coming here in the first place. And, T-Mac's season-ending microfracture surgery has no impact on the deal they ARE working on as he was never a part of the equation in the first place. As I've said in other posts, T-Mac is about as untouchable as Yao, regardless of the way most feel about him on this BBS...

However, to get the player the Rockets have their eyes on, we would have to give up Artest. Clutch even said how he would be surprised if Artest is still a Rocket past the deadline, citing the fact he was creating tension in the locker room, because of how actively the Rockets have been in shopping him, etc.

The question remains if that tandem of Yao + player X would be better than Yao + Artest for the remainder of the season and the playoffs...

Nah, he's more of a role player, rather than the big impact player the blog mentions IMO.

I can't remember since when we got t-mac as a player. it feels like a decade ago that Tmac wears a Rockets jersey. i was sooo excited when we launched T, but as year pass by, the disappointment grow, n i do think this is time to move on. I say we trade t n dorsey for V n swift, resign Ron, n we got ourselves a new team

Well he said it's either a difference maker, or somebody that could get them that type of player later (ala the Bobby Jackson trade).

In my opinion, Mike Miller fits the latter. He can be a pretty damn good shooter (although, he's been underachieving this season, but I think he is in a bad situation in Minnesota) and I feel he can contribute to this team. Not to mention he's pretty good at driving to the basket.

No way you can get him without giving up Artest. Not worth it IMO.

Stephen A Smith reported McGrady wants to be one of the marquee names in 2010 along with Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Amare, and Nash. Expects to be one of the premiere players among them. He's having the surgery now to get healthy for 2010 free agency.

If that's true, he's delusional. He's staring down a short length MLE deal, especially if he has microfracture.

Wow, this is getting tiring, why can't we just get to know if he's out for the season or not? I'm a T-mac fan but if he's going to play half-injured the whole season like the start of it then it's better to let him rest, the rockets ain't getting better when T-mac plays injured, they really don't. The only thing that's weird for me is how he plays damn good in some games and everything's good and then in the next game hell breaks loose and people talking about him being out for the season? I've always thought that if you're seriously injured then you can't play at all.

Well, hope this nighmare ends soon...

Funny how Tracy couldn't keep himself in shape after the surgery he had earlier, how the hell does he think he can recover from this surgery ??

Too bad Tracy is another waste of talent. The only reason I still like him is because he was part of the 22 game winning streak and the fact he tries to help people over in Darfur. Hopefully he is not anything in real life as he is in the soap opera world called the NBA. Can you see Tracy getting interviewed in Darfur saying one thing and the next day the exact opposite happens / is true ?
    Sad really....

In regards to the trade, hopefully Artest is not part of it. I hate to part with any1 but Yao, Wafer, Artest and Battier should definetly not be part of any trade talk. Please no Mike Miller, Maggette, VC or whatever SG / SF the Rockets think would make them better. I cannot believe the love for Mike Miller I have seen over the last few months on this board, the guy is not that good and brings only his shooting touch. The negatives far outweigh his positives and another reason I don't ever want to see a guy like that on the Rockets team: his looks. He looks like a woman and has a really annoying face you just want to punch everytime you see it. He's Kyle Korver with longer hair.....ughhh
