extremely bizarre. Especially conscidering how well he's played for us since he's been here. This is terrible news.
Are you really surprised?? How many hate threads do you get after one bad game? Fans are fickle around these ways..
Can we please take away the #1 from his jersey?? I feel like its mocking the Rockets and their fans...
Heartbroken??? HA I guess thats why he was partyin in Vegas, to get over his broken heart with Kris Angel and his Playboy GF. (Along with his wingman Chuck Hayes) Whatever will he do with his millions and millions of dollars now that he has nothing to do. SAD THING IS, HE WILL WIN AS MANY PLAYOFF SERIES DURING HIS SIGNIFICANT TIME OFF AS HE DID FOR MY ROCKETS
this seems weird to me, when did he first say he was looking for second opinions, thursday?? With the weekend and holiday, how many could he have received, especially if he traveled around? Was it just A second opinion? Is it possible this was leaked out just to avoid a trade, and he's going to take it back later this week?
i know. those doctors really are messed up. there's no reason to believe you rehab a little (even just a little) and play 35 nba games and your freakin' knee just gains ZERO strength. that's not how surgery works.
that's a wrap for Mcgrady. Dunno how I feel since mac was my favorite player fir 4 seasons. Rockets might win a series now, we are most certainly better without him.
If it is microfracture surgery he needs to go to whoever did the surgeries for Amare and Kenyon Martin.
we can still get past the first round if we get the right matchups: i.e portland or denver. any other team, we'll have a hard time.
Explains why he was never traded. Oh well I wish him luck. This team is still capable of getting out the 1st round, but I doubt we have enough to get to the Championship.
Fickle or not, the guy has given a lot for us. This was the first year I didn't think he did and now we see why. I hope he can bounce back. Again good luck T-Mac. I wish you nothing but the best.
I wonder if his trying to play through it might have made things worse? Between the pressure he puts on himself and what the fans and media put on him, he might have ruined his career by trying to brave it out.
That deal appears to be dead. All the chron writers in their blogs are shutting that idea down. http://blogs.chron.com/nba/2009/02/the_mcgrady_question_and_a_roc.html http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2009/02/live_blog_rockets_vs_nets_at_7.html http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomon/2009/02/post_79.html
