    You guys are classic: Cliff Clevan, Buck Rogers & porno in the same thread. Only in America.

    A highly trained monkey (or ratbot) could get on a search engine & find the answer (this was emailed to me a couple of days ago, I'm sure it's posted somewhere), the point of a brain-teaser is to use your brain. If it makes ya feel any better, I couldn't figure it out either (got the answer emailed to me)....

    And no, it has nothing to do w/ numerology.

    I have not seen this one posted before it is pretty tough(unless you have already heard it);

    There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

    Any time you can get some Cliff Claven humor in a thread, I am all for it.

    Good one guys.

    "Be that as it may, Alex, they have never been in my kitchen."

    Here are some of the categories from that show.

    Postage Stamps
    Potent potables
    Mothers and Sons
    Beers from around the world

    What were the others?

    Alex Trebek: Great. Let's take a look at the final board. And the categories are: "Potent Potables"; "Sharp Things"; "Movies That Start with the Word Jaws"; "A Petit Déjeuner" - that category is about French phrases, so let's just skip it.

    Burt Reynolds: Hey, uh, I speak a little French. You're an asswipe, pardon my French. [ does a quick laugh ]

    French Stewart: My name's French!

    Burt Reynolds: Yeah, well, who gives a damn?

    "I'll take 'The Rapists" for $100 Alex."

    "The category is 'Therapists' Mr. Connery."
