The Rockets score more points without McGrady. They don't choke to crappy Eastern teams anymore, like they did with McGrady.

The guy's a cancer and he needs to go. At the very least if no one will take his crappy contract, which is understandable, the Rockets should shut him down for the rest of the season so that he can't hurt the team.

Tmac kills the rockets on both ends. Is a ballstopper on offense and kills any flow we have. Is lazy on defense and that runs off on everyone else. I can't believe we all thought he was going to be our leader. There is nothing farther from the truth than that.

That's because he has a huge following of fans,
but then again so does Vince Carter.

Ok, this still makes no sense.
"Rockets history in Houston" - Ok... good job on calling the Department of Redundancy Department

".500 or better with and without (winning season thus far)" - With and without... who or what? And yes, it's a winning season thus far, because Tmac has missed half the season.

Agreed. Please, let's not see the Rockets make the playoffs without TSlack only to see him try to "imppose his will" on the series.

    DD,

I certainly agree we are better without him and I am not real impressed with the coach at allllllll. But, he can't not play Grady when he suits up. You have to keep trying to get him going to see what you have. If nothing else, to get his value up to trade him. It just didn't work. At this point, he needs to sit for the year. Let him go have his testicle implant and be gone for a while.

Rockets with Artest, and without TMAC: 8-3 (.727)
Rockets with TMAC, and without Artest: 2-3 (.400)
Rockets with both TMAC & Artest out: 4-4 (.500)

Artest without TMAC: 20.3 PPG, 4.1 APG
Wafer with both TMAC & Artest out: 17.5 PPG, .483 FG%

This team can and WILL win more games without a gimpy TMAC.
This team can still competitive if Artest misses a game or two.
    Yao + Artest >>> Yao + TMAC

If you've been a fan of the team for long... you know that the "star" sometimes gets hurt... and if the team is worth it's salt, it still plays well enough to win.

Houston did not run the Dream out of town when he was out with Anemia... or a broken eye socket... or the leg thing... he missed many games as well.

HISTORY... in Houston since what year?

And .... again, if a team is above .500 and contending for a playoff spot... it's all the more reason to not bail on a guy that has CONSISTENTLY improved his playoff stats in years past, when healthy.

Guys get into situations that they are not 100%.... remember how old Dream was when he won his first title? Clyde won how many before playing with Dream?

Pick a different legend... Dr. J... how old was he?

Not everyone is a lucky Magic Johnson... or a younger MJ in '91.

    Get over yourselves.

The stats you cite... do not prove much to someone that has followed the team for decades.

I hope your future patients, "MD" are not subjected to such a short sampling of recent data.

    God help them.

It takes five, baby. There is a reason why they didn't say it takes four.

This season T-Mac's looking like a cancer. The media reports that he wasn't getting along with his teammates, the posts on this board that the other Rockets despise him, the flaky injury drama...

T-Mac needs to sit if he's not traded. He's hurting the team with his stupid theatrics and his drama.

Meh, realistically this team hasn't been a true 5 player on the court team in a long time, with or without T. I think it takes 5 is over rated, realistically the Lakers have proven it takes 3.2, and the Celt's show it takes 2. Paul Pierce and one other player always show up for that team, that's pretty much it.

I think Tmac can't hurt us, well, at least on the court, in the locker room is a different story....

I'll give you most of that...

And Dream never fit those categories... or did he?

Did he always get along with everyone pre-Islam?

I thought he was hurting the team by playing poorly. His theatrics and drama have resulted in him missing games -- which you've said has actually made the team better.
