Very true about Morey and how he always has something up his sleeve when it comes to trades and drafting. But I think this is the one trade that is out there and isnt just reports, but who knows you may be right. Interesting 48 hours ahead.

 

I'd give up Landry, Battier, and TMAC for the other three. Sucks to be losing Landry though, if this happens.

Yeah u are 100% correct...if a deal happens...it'll be a bit of a mix.

we gotta get rid of tracy. at this point, lets just say he somehow, miraculously, returns to being healthy. He isn't mentally tough enough to stomach (and move past the fact) we tried so hard to get rid of him. if he isn't traded now, he will be over the offseason or by next deadline and thats 100%. but then again i'm sure everyone already knows this

 

i'm just hoping the nets are going to take t-mac's contract.

their team isn't going to do much this year anyway; if they take t-mac's contract they'll be a major team with money to sign a top FA.

Well, for one, that wasn't the first offer the Pistons gave us. The FIRST offer they gave us was Wallace + Prince, IIRC, and that wouldn't have done squat for us this year. We rebuffed that offer, so they came back with several different packages, and Billups + Prince was one of them. Second, why would we so drastically overpay (giving up youth and athleticism for age and a terrible contract) for someone who the Nets got for damn near nothing in the first place?? Man, I would love to play fantasy basketball with you.

Can someone explain to me why a Tmac for VC trade is better than an Artest for VC trade? We are not going to resign Artest after this year and a player of his caliber at his contract will be impossible to obtain so we will basically lose him without an equal replacement.

Tmac on the other hand will be great trade bait next summer, not to mention that when healthy is quite a bit better than Artest, and better than VC.

T-Mac's flaked out completely. There's a good chance that he's done for this season and that in the future he won't be able to co-exist with either Adelman or Morey.

the tracy deal is fair. i say fair because it's not 100% in our favor. next year tmac will have one of the most desirable contracts in the league. we can write our own ticket. look at the attention portland is getting for lafrentz... caron butler, gerald wallace, and richard jefferson have all been linked in those talks.

imagine what the rockets could get for tmac this summer.

 

I'll take the trade in a heartbeat IF TMAC is faking his injuries.
