Just listened to an interview by Sina (yeah sina possesses no good reputation but it's an interview this time ;) )..A very brief recap -

Sina: How's your all star weekend?
Yao: en...feel very stressed, ammusing and tired..(in casual way)
Sina: Why didn't you dance this year?
Yao: Wait...You've thought I am here for a disco tournament or something? (laugh)
Sina: Shaq's pretty droll hah (on all star game)? And Howard, who's more funny?
Yao: Gotta be Shaq...The guy is more practised (at trolling)...
Sina: You know Yi is gonna play tonight....
    Yao: I hope he's 100% recovered, but I wish he'll has ice-cold hands..(laugh)
Sina: All star game indicates the midpoint of the season, in what area do you think Rox need to improve.
Yao: We must concentrate our mind on the game, play hard and build team chemistry..
Sina: What if there's gonna be a trade with the team?
Yao: What if....That has not happened yet, right? Come up to me when there's a done deal.
Sina: Just now Artest said he overheard something....
Yao: (cut in) Get over it would you? I am not going to talk more about it. The thing is really complicated and serious...would you (stop talking about it)?
    Sina: Ok.....

    And something irrelavant.

everything i hear about yao makes him seem like a total dick, but he does so many humanitarian things that it's hard to believe. i've heard from so many fans that he straight up declines their requests for pictures and autographs, which is understandable, but i mean when you get paid to play a game, you might as well suck it up and accept the inevitable hand cramps...

I wonder what he was referring to.

Seems like he knows Artest is likely out of here and knows the real reason....
TRACY MCGRADY and the ROCKETS ORGANISATION for backing up Tracy instead of Ron.
I bet Leslie Alexander is the one behind all this since he doesn't want another Vernon Maxwell thing to go down since both have similar personalities. Remember, RA & Morey had to convince Leslie to bring in Artest so his first thought was probably: hell no, not another competitor and potential fighter / troublemaker.
It's no coincidence that when Vernon's contract was negotiated, Leslie was the owner and all of sudden the lack of trust in Vernon started and the long term deal was probably off before he even went AWOL in the 95 playoffs.

I feel sorry for the Rockets that Artest is probably out because the organisation is weak; Tracy is the embodiment of the whole thing.
Yao and he doesn't seem like a dick at all, this shows he's smart about it and doesn't want to go into speculation ("What if...")

Seems like Yao may not be happy about trading a peice. If Ron and yao were playing so well together I bet Yao is thinking why fix something that isnt broken? Just specualtion on my part I know.

McGrady is the weak link, and I think everyone knows it. Not his fault for his situation, and it is a complicated one. But I think Yao more than ever just wants to be playing consistently and it isnt going to happen this year if a trade goes down.

wht the hell are u basing this on? Yao is a dick?

He sounded very polite and respectful in the interview in declining to talk abt players movement.

Although from the sound of it, Yao doesn't seem to imply any problem within the locker room. He just seemed to be sick of any trade talk. BUt again, this is just my personal opinion from the tone of Yao's voice.

Good find deion_se. No disrespect but my interpretation of this part is a little bit different. According to the audio, when the reporter mentioned Artest had told him (the reporter) that he (Artest) heard something, Yao immediately interrupted and told the reporter that it is serious (as you translated). But Yao did not ask the reporter to "get over it.". It seems like the reporter has shown Yao certain written questions so Yao asked the reporters not to ask "this question". Then the reporter jumped to "another question" which was the dinner with Yi part, kind of compromising.

And regarding his ASG weekend, Yao felt that it was substantial 充實, intense 緊張, pleasant 愉快 and tired 累.

Does anyone know what is Yao's relationship with Ron? I know he didn't like his arrival at first, but how are they now? I'm guessing they could be good friends.
