All this talking and stuff I can see the Rockets in the 2nd half with the same team. Nothing is going to happen and if something does happen it would probably be a minor trade. Probably a player for a pick and thats it. I doubt something will happen

Trade Tmac. The guy is usless... At least Artest can actually perform with Yao.

I don't think you can trade Tmac right now, but next year he is hugely valuable as a trading contract even if his career is done.

will mike miller bring the toughness and mean attitude to the team? if not, i would say that we lose more than what we get.

I don't think toughness and mean attitude win games, do they?

At some point you have to be able to score the ball.

Mike Miller compliments Yao and Tmac's game more than Artest does....

It is about fitting together a TEAM that can win, not a group of skilled individuals.

We need players that FIT together well...right now that is not the case.

He is a better fit, skill set wise but has done poorly this year. 34.6% from 3 point shooting, and little to no defense isn't going to help. He is coming off injuries too. Not good enough IMO.

I've been seeing a lot post regarding toughness and attitude. Why is everyone bringing that up?? We are not the bad boys like Detroit Pistons. Not every team needs toughness to win it all or have success. The Lakers made it to the finals last year and they sure as hell weren't tough or had a tough guy. All it takes is for a player to have that killer instinct.

If you want a tough guy on the team look at Yao when he played the Wizards that one game. Look at McGrady when he is healthy and he played those games. We have tough guys that can lead the team. They have potential. Trade Ron for a player that can help the team. All you guys saying trade McGrady are nuts.

Whats even worse is the trade proposal you guys come up with. You say trade McGrady ok if you can trade him to make the team better fine but the stuff yall come up with just makes the team worse than what it is now.

Stop looking at how he does within other team's systems, start looking at his entire career and what type of teamates he has had when he WAS successful, and you will start making better conclusions.

Complimenting Tmac's game is something we should not concern ourselves with. He's gone--either next year or in two years. I personally think Artest plays extremely well with Yao on the court, but if he is not going to re-sign, I see the need to get some kind of value from him. I just think worrying about getting a player in return that will compliment Tmac is the wrong way to think.

If this 4 for 1 swap with Phoenix goes through it basically says that this entire team was a total failure. Morey built this deep ass team and added all the right pieces, but they can't freaking play together. What a damn shame.

I think systemically it starts from not having a leader. Sadly, we could've done the T-Mac for Chauncey + Tayshaun deal this past offseason, and been leading the West. I guess hindsight is 20/20.

I think the Amare noise is dead. Alvin Gentry probably wants to keep him around now that he has control of the team.

Our target is down to Vince I guess.

What we need is a PG. If we could get Nash along with Amare... and keep AB, to learn from Nash...

Morey built a deep team, but he did not ADD ALL THE RIGHT PIECES.....

He added talent but failed to consider whether or not the talent fit together on the court, and the games complimented each other, because they don't.

I said it before we even got Artest that all his skills were redundant and covered by other players, but it was a cheap look at him, and to me it has failed, so now you have to trade him for a player that fits better with the rest of the team and in particular, Yao.

A guy like Mike Miller, or Corey Maggette, or Baron Davis, or Andre Miller, or Kirk Hinrich....while none of them may be equal in talent to Ron, they all make the Rocket's TEAM better overall, by contributing to an area of obvious weakness.

This team is put together, and has talent, it just doesn't have complimentary talent.

Morey's job is not finished, he needs to get back to work and take a chemistry class in team building 101....
