Remember what all players say right off the bat when they get traded....."This is a business"...and from a business standpoint the rockets would be absolutely stupid to keep artest knowing he wont resign..

tmacs not playing till artest is gone...so bring his cousin in and we i can guarantee that he will all of a sudden be fine and we will cruise up a couple spots in the west and make some noise.

(assuming its is artest, head, landry)

    rafer
    carter
    mac
    scola
    yao

    bench
    battier,brooks,barry wafer, hayes, deke, dorsey

Ya'll know what would be a dream come true...
Landry, head, and artest for STAT
    T-mac for Vince

New Jersey would do the trade because they get T-mac off the books in 2010. Pheonix is a little tougher because they dont get much back but hey I said dream right?

    Our lineup would be sick.

    Rafer/Brooks
    Vince/Wafer
    Battier/Barry
    STAT/Scola/Hayes
    Yao/Deke

i'm okay with parting with brooks. he was a breath of fresh air his rookie year, but i don't think he'll be any better than he already is now. yes its his second year, but the guy spent 4 years in college. unless brooks grows 3 inches i don't see him improving much at all. all he does his stand and shoot 3's, while occasionly penetrating and flipping up a shot.

I heard Aldridge on ESPN after that game (radio), and he said the new coach and getting rid of Amare were two seperate issues....and that he still expects to see him moved. I still don't see us landing him though....

I'm guessing he meant to say Adelman. LOL.

I'd really hate him if that happened. Right now I'm just tired of his antics/drama/lack of dedication and I really don't like him and hope to see him gone ASAP. But if your scenario comes true, then I'd really hate him with a passion. He'd easily surpass my dislike for the Dirks and all the megafloppers. How could someone sabotage the entire thing just because he dislikes one guy?! There'd be nothing Artest could have done to justify that action. Nothing.

I was really hoping that we would have our trades already done with by tomorrow so we could play the Nets with our new roster but at the rate it appears all these teams are dealing it is going to be a down to the wire trade show. Seems like everyone is holding their cards very close to their chests.

Having VC isn't going to change McGrady. He will say the right things, but nothing will change unless he is 100% physically and mentally fit.

or maybe it's as simple as calvin murphy said tonight: tracy is not going to play unless he's 100% healthy. there's no dislike towards anyone. his play is sucking b/c he's not healthy. so he's trying to find ways to get healthier.

people think too much on this board. tracy was playing fine until that horrendous game v. the bucks. in his mind, he took a major step back and say what the hell. so he pulled himself from the sac game b/c he knows he's not gonna help the team.

so we'll see where he's at this upcoming week.

Dude tries to sit out cuz he's injured. People claim he has no heart.
Dude tries to play on gimpy knee. Same people say he's ruining the team and should sit out.
Dude sits out. Same people think he's heartless, needs to suck it up and play.

    Rinse. Repeat. Rinse. Repeat.

the locker room issues have been documented. it's due to tracy's inconsistency and in and out of hte lineup that have frustrated the organization. it's not b/c he hates artest that he can't even step onto the court with him. feign has said this a ton of times. and calvin murphy said it again.

tracy's injured and it's real. he's struggling to deal with it and how he's playing bad with it. tracy wants to play when he feels he can play to his old level and it appears unlikely unless he gets his knee back strong again. and he's struggling to deal with it.

    that's all it is.

that's all it is. tracy's struggling to deal with his injury and is trying to find ways to get healthy (hence the multiple doctor checks)

i think eventually he just has to come to terms that THIS YEAR, he is what he is and learn to deal with it (unless he has a real serious injury that requires microfracture but that's a rumor). he just hast o change his game to help the team. rest up in the summer and get ready to go next yr.

if he can't come to terms with it, then just sit out. people are going to criticize regardless of what he does.

if he plays, he'll get criticize b/c he can't produce at the level of his salary, despite his injury.

if he sits, he'll get criticized b/c he's not producing his salary. and he's weak and soft.

tracy just has to come to terms with something by this week. forget what the fans say. he played injured all of last year and it didn't get him any respect from most on clutchfans. so playing injured this year won't either.

just play to help the team. forget what the fans think.
