Yea, this happens every year and i honestly don't understand why anyone is mad. In the ASG, fans (everyone, not just Yao fans) want to see multiple players getting involved ending in an exciting play. Outside of adjusting the entire lineup to fit Yao and running special plays for him posting and reposting there is no reason for him to be on the court...and HE knows it. It's the same thing with Tim Duncan accept he's a little more athletic.
Yes, please do it. Next time, when media picked the same accusation against Yao's ASG ballots, I hope all the houston fans can pump their chests and told the media to shut up because "we did it, not the Chinese".
so what it's the chinese? are their votes inferior than the american votes? some chinese have thinking problems.
No, their votes are just as good. It is a bit weird that the rox fans in the America do not vote for Yao, as suggested by media. It is also weird that many houston fans seem to be happy to use that against Yao.
That's right. Actually it would be funny that if the Chinese votes can outweigh American ones. Are they going to ban all Chinese votes?
The NBA has drastically changed over the past several years. Yao just doesn't fit into the ASG anymore with all these young athletes, he's just too slow. After Shaq and Yao are gone, you no longer have any back to the basket players, unless you get Jefferson in there.
Yao doesn't fit the mold, but sheesh, let him do SOMETHING. It's not like he doesn't have some moves. Let him spin baseline for a dunk. Let him shake things up under the net. I only saw about a quarter and a half of the All-Star game (just for Yao, who I knew would start but wouldn't play much). I was surprised to see Dwight playing him relatively strong, as well as the Eastern All-Stars actually double teaming him. Meanwhile the guards got open lanes to drive to the hoop, and Western bigs (including Yao) just put their arms up straight so that Howard could get his flashy dunks in the paint. I still remember how in last year's game, Yao spun baseline on Dwight, who actually fouled him. What the hell is that? Oh well, not like the game actually matters.
Yao looked horrible when he was on the floor tonight. I'm glad he is sitting down before someone dunks on him....AGAIN! -I digress...I'm a bit pissed off at his lack of aggressiveness these days. Seems like he is always dropping/missing passes or just making clumsy mistakes. I guess it all comes with being almost eight feet tall.
I'm a Chinese.I don't think most of Chinese fans vote for Yao.There are many fans don't like Yao. P.s:I voted for yao ,my english is not weel...
hakeem struggles offensively to score in most of the game, but he's not a ghost. he generally rebounded and blocked shots well. and more importantly, he still got his shots up.
Ramp up in effort, but it slows down to a half court game rather than run and dunk. All is well durvasa, all is well.
I'm surprised to see the replies here. I watched last night's game all the way, and the commentator clearly stated that the Rockets organization asked Phil Jackson to only play yao 12 mins at most. The commentator explained a bit about why Rockets would do that(injury, concern, blahblah). It's at the begining of the second half and nobody caught that?
you have to let Oneal entertaining and entertained there... he doesn't have too many years left and Yao still has to work hard for championship
