I think giving up Brooks and Landry on top of Artest and Head, will really destroy or bench.

If this trade goes through our bench will be nonexistent.

Artest has also been hitting the 3's very well this year, as well as his toughness and defense that he brings...so I really don't want to see him get traded unless it's for the very best

if we get Amare then I'd really hate to see both landry and brooks go, also just doesn't seem like a great fit either with Yao. Scola should also be getting some good minutes and starting, and amare might take that away from him. But then again, he's really improved his jumper and is a great finisher so he could help out a lot as well. His defense just isn't that great though.

Also I really don't like the idea of miller coming here either. I haven't watched many wolves games, but when I do it seems like miller always falls down after driving to the basket and stays down for a minute grimacing in pain.

but I wouldn't mind bringing in carter since maybe it will help T-mac out more then miller, but that would really hurt our defense and figuring out a lineup to end the game would be tough, unless shane is put at the PF. but if possible, it could be great if we pulled off a T-mac for Carter type of deal. Before the season I wouldn't have favored that, but right now I'm just frustrated with T-mac, so I wouldn't mind it at all...

I agree on what all you said, except for 1. when two of your 3 star players arent getting alone and its affecting the way they play or in T-Mac's case, perhaps tanking and not playing(yes the injury is real, but can he play on it, we dont know?) because Artest is still here, then yeah one gotta go.

A few factors that may have killed the Rockets's chances

    Honestly.
at this point - Unless Artest is a royal *ss behind the scenes
    and things are unworkable

    then
I would prefer the Rockets stand Pat
Let the Mac-Less team play it out.
I have faith they will play well and get out of the 1st round

i think Mac going in and out
    and
half *ssing it . . or being injured or what ever when he in
    has been a major
    reason we been losing . . .

I'm not against giving McGrady the Marbury treatment and letting guys who want to play get on the court for the Rockets.

I said other teams won't give up their expiring contracts to help the Rockets get rid of McGrady. Bottom line is that we are stuck with him. I'm quite sure that DM wants to move Tracy but he can't because no one wants him.

The Rockets do not have a defensive team anymore, other than Battier and Hayes they are adequate defenders, not lock down.

You can win that way, but you need better offense.

these trade talks.. however you may slice it.. is Tracy-centric.. as far as it's impetus goes..

they're so intent on trading Ron this season.. due to concerns that they won't get fair value in return for Tracy.. (because afterall, if they were to trade Tracy, the possibility of re-signing Artest increase exponentially)
yet at the same time we have rumors of them being just fine with overpaying in assets for a player that may not fit.. or settling for lateral moves that really offer us no tangible gain.. such as Mike Miller.. just for the sake of moving Ron Artest

yes, Miller's a three point "specialist", doesn't need the ball in his hands to be productive, but offers not much else.. yet we overlook that while he's on a down year, Ron is hitting 40% behind the arc while giving you a lot more on the other end.. then there's the reason that he would offer greater opportunity for chemistry with no Tracy challengers left off and on the court.. unfortunately our chemistry has proven just fine without Tracy.. with Ron's production increased.. and team exhibiting greater desire and energy on both ends..

so either way.. the reasons for these trade "rumors" are very much about Tracy..

And you are okay with catering to the whims of a guy who is tanking or giving it less than 100%? This is a playground stuff. All he needs is another excuse and he'll take another week off.

Pls remind me, didnt mac say something like he needed to consult doctor about having surgery? I also heard about it being a micro fracture. And even if he did come back to play, the guy can hardly do anything, he cant dunk, he cant lay it up. Him returning to play ball this season is questionable and him playing it to the level Artest will do is impossible. Between the two of them the choice is clear. Wouldn't you say so?

Mike Miller, Brent Barry, Battier [injured]
    T-mac, Scola, Yao, Brooks, Rafer

This is NOT a fast breaking team.
So not alot of EASY BASKETs
    ALSO
This is not a good Defense teams
    Also
This is NOT an athletic team

So . . .you got is a soft jump shooting team
    not a winning formula . . . IMO

Who are the Drivers to the basket?
Brooks, Rafer . . and miller maybe?
    TMac doesn't any more
    and
I dunno if Barry can beat anyone off the dribble

nnnooooo. . . . that team looks like a loss waiting to happen
oops. . . I forgot landry [if they can keep him]
    LANDRY WILL BE KEY
cause he will have to IMO shift to the SF and step up there
he will be ALL our front line Athleticism

If they plan to do all these trades just to make TMac happy, I am afraid that this will make the whole team other than TMac angry. What kind of messages do this send to his teammates? It looks like most plays are not on TMac's side, and they are right because TMac quitted on them for whatever reasons.

Just because McGrady will be still on the roster after the trading deadline doesn't mean they are making moves to compliment him. Clutch's source said no one but Yao is safe. That doesn't sound like loyalty to me.

Les pays McGrady's paycheck. It's probably very hard for him to pay 21 Million and have that player sit at home (Marbury treatment).

Portland needs a big man with experience who can complement Aldridge rather than giving him up for Amare IMO.I wouldn't be surprised if Portland traded Amare for him in a package using LaFrentz's expiring contract though.
