Boozer is a glorified larger and more experienced carl landry. Good rebounder and excellent mid-range jumpshooter. Put boozer with a crappy point guard like rafer and see his production fall. The same exact thing will happen with stoudemire. These guys are products of the system. No one realizes how much a point guard with excellent court vision that can also shoot does for a team. Look at marion. All his numbers have been down since he left nash. Wade is more of a shooting guard scorer. Boozer is crap. He was crap when he left cleveland(horrible team at the time) and now scores his points in utah off wide open mid-range jumpers and put backs. Give any decently gifted player that hustles that many looks and he will score just as many points. He destroys us every year in the playoffs. Is it because he is amazing? No, just a mismatch with a well run offense ran by a great pg that can get him looks. He didn't muscle his way in dunking on everyone or perform spectacular plays did he?

Artest and scola for boozer? I don't think so. Artest needs to get moved because he wont resign with us next year. So why get another guy who won't resign with us next year either?

I know Boozer's game. Im not underestimating it at all. Im a basketball die hard fan so I know about everyones game. All im saying is that it makes no sense to trade for a forward when forward position is doing great for us. Yes its always great if you can upgrade but don't upgrade a position when its not the weakest link on your team. I can understand if Alston was consistent like Scola is now then i would agree with the trade but noooo way. Get a point guard. Not named Kirk Hinrich like everyone on here wants.

Dont you think we've explored options to get a PG that would help the team? It just seems as though our options are limited as far as that position. The guys available either

    A. Wont make us significantly better or
    B. Have undesireable contracts.

With mcgrayds situation, I think we have to add another big time player. It doesnt matter what position. We need someone who can score efficiently while also making his team mates better. Not many PGs can do both, and if they can, theyre probably not getting traded.

PF is the last position on the team that should be messed with.

Baron Davis is one. Mike Bibby is another. I know the Hawks probably won't trade him like you said so I could leave him out but they do have A.C Law waiting. Earl Watson is good and consistent. Another thing if we was to trade for a big man like Boozer, I would say we should just go after Amare considering he knows how to run the high pick and roll and plus he is very athletic.

You make a good point. If this team does have a weakness its definetly in the shotblocking department. I do think Boozer is a very good athlete though, but shotblocking is not his strength. If they could ever pair Yao with an athletic shotblocking 4, I think that would make a deadly combination on the defensive side of the ball.

Bibby I agree with, but Davis has like 5 years left on his deal. Hes injury prone and he needs the ball. Never played with a great center either. No thanks.

That may be true but we do lack size and athleticism at the 4 spot. Scola has decent size but he doesnt have the athleticism of most NBA 4s and then you have landry who has the athleticism but he's undersized. Our FG % defense has gone up quite a bit and I think alot of it has to do with our interior defense. We give up alot more dunks and layups than we used to. You have to look at our big man rotation as a big reason for that. We can't play Deke anymore because we cant just ask mcgrady to do everything on offense now, and that means more minutes for yao, scola, and landry who all have serious defeciencies defending the interior.

Most any deal that includes Scola get's an almost immediate NO from me. I just can't see how adding a pf to this team solves any problems. It's not even the second biggest weakness on this team right now.
