Man, its been freakin 15 years.

Fifteen freakin years since title number 1...working on title number 2.

I have no idea what this team is. When I look at them, they look HORRIBLE. When I went to see them at MSG, and I think we are the slowest team and one of the least athletic.

T-Mac is 45. Yao doesn't touch the ball enough, gets blocked, dunked on, punked...whatever it is. Hard to take after watching Dream, Shaq, Ewing and Robinson totally dominate at the position and now Dwight Howard.

And Artest? He can't shoot! Complete player? Pfft! Shane? I love him. Love the hustle. But when a team sucks, he is a MAJOR liability.

I miss JVG with a passion because at least the team came to play EVERY NIGHT and was prepared...win or lose.

I am jealous at all the attention the Lakers, Celtics, Spurs and Cavs get. Hell, the Trailblazers get more attention than we do and they are in the freakin BOOOOOONIES! I am tired of everyone talking about "its a Lakers-Spurs, Celtics-Cavs" final. Orlando and Portland dark horses....OMG, I want to cry!

Should I talk about the crowd at the Toyota Center? Most if not all in a coma? Whats the excuse now? Before? JVG ball, not winning...blah, blah, blah.

I am mostly depressed due to T-Mac. One minute, its the back. Next minute, its the knee. Next second, HE IS BACK AND LEARNED ALOT BEING AWAY. Right after, he misses a dunk where he got off the ground about as high as I do now with 20 extra pounds and almost a foot shorter!

Yao won't say a damn thing because of his "culture". If I were him, I would rip a new a-hole into the team night after lackadasical night!

But oh snap!...there goes Yao again. Hurt his pinky or some ****.

I am so down on my team. I get depressed to the point of drinking myself into a freakin basketball deep sleep. How much Tang can I drink!?

I just keep thinking about theFreak and his post about 10 years ago on how many rings will the Rockets win in the next 10 years. He said NONE. I wanted to slap him. And then beat him with one of my aluminum bats. And then kick him in the balls. And then throw him over the GW Bridge, climb down and repeat!

    Guess he was right. :(

We are at a point where the mere mention of a trade gets 500 responses to a thread. If that isn't desperate times then I don't know what is.

I don't know what to do. We have half a season left. But now with the T-Mac news....oh man, heading deeper into it.

Sorry. I just had to vent. I am so sorry that this isn't one of those statistical, analytical, trade ideas or T-Mac/Yao love/hate posts.

Can we start a therapy group?

I WANT US TO BE RELEVANT AGAIN!!!!!!!

I miss JVG, too Almu :(

it's hard to stand up for what you believe in. now the Rockets are running around like chickens with no heads, no identity.

But it's what the fans wanted, right?

Actually, I think the fans wanted a healthy team that would play hard, not the injured, no identity one that we have now.

But, when Tmac was out the team looked great, let's see that again.....

Adelman may or may not be the coach for this group, time will tell.

JVG had his shot.....he did some good, some bad, let Rick have the same 4 years and see how the team responds.

I have to be fair. I was ok with him being let go. He had 4 years.

I just didn't think about how great he had his team focused and prepared. He is a legend here in NYC because of it. You know that 110th. Highly appreciated.

But...he blew it. His fault or not. The coach takes the fall and we talking first round exits!

I still miss that guy, though.

    True, DD.

But make an UPGRADE. Not LATERAL move. We just changed offense to defense. What else?

I don't hear any players saying RA is the best coach they ever played for lately. ;)

to the op - it ain't all that bad. there have been times i was depressed, too; like after a game where we lost to a lowly bucks team.

this team has a failed investment in #1 and now it could turn into a cancer. just cut it off, have some treatment - before it's too late. i'm afraid waiting for 2010, which is fool's good to begin with, could be a bit too late.

there is a chance people will be amazed how a surgery to a team can do, to everything - as long as the surgery is a successful one and is done in time.

Agreed, Tmac is not himself, due to injury, or lack of rehab, lack of faith, whatever.

Just get him away from the rest of the team and into rehab or whatever, and watch the team take off.

Removing the clouds always brings out the sun.

You are in New York, wear your 1994 Rockets championship gear around MSG.
    That should make you happy.

    Almu,

talk to some Knick Fans and ask them about the Rockets this year. I want to hear what they think about what's going on.

Ask them about Yao vs Howard
and definitely ask them where they rank Tmac

I think either you're all in or all out as a organization. As soon as yao went out, they shouldve either developed the young guys or made a trade to try to keep it going. Artest shouldve been here last yr. This summer mo williams shouldve been here. Its a cycle of just being competitive like the astros. Good enough to win some games, not good enough for a title. I understand, that's why I'm not emotionally attached. I made a thread about how close, yet how far this team is away. DD will disagree, but giving away that lotto pick is b**** slapping the rox right now.

since Van Gundy left, Knicks fans don't care about the Houston Rockets.

no one in NY really cares if you wear Rockets gear around town.

    Tinman,

That's an easy one. I have 3 Knicks fans that I talk to on a regular basis. Here is what they say:

    1) They love Nate Robinson.
    2) They love their new GM because they are finally going to be under the cap and have a shot at Lebron/other big name FA's next summer (2010).
    3) They love the energy of the team.
    4) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE David Lee.
    5) Think Howard is better than Ming...BUT, its always with the "Yao is always injured" qualifier. I think they probably think both being healthy, Yao is a better all around player.
    6) T-Mac is shot. They never liked him...and its mostly because he is really not that tough or mean or whatever it is they like in their NYC ball players. Remember, they HATED Jordan/Miller. But not one bad word about him...the hustle, the intensity. T-Mac ain't their type.
    7) They both think the Rockets have the horses...and the qualifier? When healthy.

Read my Sig. I'm afraid the Rockets are on the decline, and we have no reason to believe this mix of players will do better next year.

Even taking into account the atrocious referrees and generally bizarre state of NBA basketball, I would be perfecty fine with a team that played hard, got along well, and put in effort every damn minute - and lost 70 games.

We don't have any of those three things. But we're still 11 games up.

    Drives me nuts.

It's the mediocrity that gets to me.

I'd much rather have a losing team with a young star or two that are still showing promise, with the hope that they can get better and lead us deep in the playoffs, than a team of a bunch of veterans who can't get it done. It's so pointless.

Why does everyone think we can go from not getting past the first round, move a few pieces around, and become serious contenders overnight? These guys just aren't as good as we think they are (the 'stars', not the role players). Yea, Tracy's garbage but what about Ron and Yao? Yao is looked at as a future HOFer amongst some rockets fans, he should be dominating.

None of these guys are superstars. Any superstar would be dominating with the team we have, period. And don't kid yourselves, you need a superstar to win it all.

man Im depressed too, we're 20-2 or over .900 winning percentage when big yao goes over 20! How hard is it to go for 20 when you hit 60% of your shots and 85% at the line.

Yao needs to get 14 shots a night and we'll win the title, too bad alston and TMAC need to combine for 30 shots a night and Yao cant go 8-14 from the field and 5-6 at the line on a nightly basis. O well here's to my wet dream of yao attempting 4 shots a quarter!!!! I'd much rather watch rafer and tracy put up 7 or 8 shots a quarter. I wish we had a no nense Mike Ditka type coach that would take TMAC and rafer and say, " hey you suck quit shooting, Yao is a machine pump it into him and collect your paychecks."
