if it revealed something the doctors missed, we have the worst doctors in the world.

and all rocket fans owe him a BIG apology for saying how this is "not" an injury and something he can play through.

clearly tracy has been more right than the doctors.

No need to give up on the season. This team is better off with T-mac not trying to play through this injury if it is indeed that bad.

    Good Luck to him.

Is this really that big of a shock?

Last year was a shock with Yao. This was damn near expected for me.

The Mcgrady we are losing right now isn't that big of a loss. We've been playing without the real Mcgrady all season.

for all of you asking for apologies for doubting Tmac or questioning his work ethic, do not forget HE was the one who said he was back. HE was the one who said it felt good. Yes, the doctors should have seen this, or at least it seems like they should have, we'll have to wait and see how they explain this, but don't blame fans for thinking he's not trying when he says "he's back" and then plays like crap.

This season is no where near over. We still have a good squad to make it past the first round.

Seriously man, give up trying to get any apologies. Fans didn't invent anything, they went off of what doctors and tmac himself said. BOTH of them said it wasn't an injury and just a matter of rehabbing it.

That's good call Badger, if this is true he's pretty much done. He's made his money, lead the league in scoring, been an all star multiple times, but he doesn't have the mental toughness or the will to endure microfracture surgery to his knee. If this is the case it's probably over.

Unbelievable, we've been told repeatedly he's healthy. And he needs micro-fracture surgery??? Unreal.

One thing that does not fit is how this was missed in the beginning? McGrady himself wanted the second opinion from Dr. Andrews, has had numerous MRIs and this is just now finally revealed. I would think with a $21 million dollar man they would look at the MRI pretty carefully the 1st 2nd, and 3d times.

Also, I think this may actually be better for this season. I think it will establish more continuity now that we know McGrady will be out of the lineup. Although I think the vast majority did not expect for us to win a champioship this year, we may have a shot at the 2nd round if we get a good matchup.

As far as the future, this might officially end the Tmac-Yao era. Hopefully Morey can continue pulling his brilliant moves and we can land a superstar in the future to replace Tmac.

At least we found out now, right before the trade deadline. This will give Morey a chance to do something.

Part of being a fan is BS speculation, but the BBS has been out of control with McGrady. I think the expectations of this season (and, the last four, really) have been so high that when it looked like a Boston-style cakewalk to the title was not going to happen, it got all "Lord of the Flies" in here really quickly. If McGrady is hurt, the Rockets can still make the playoffs and let's see what happens.
