....i honestly think the best idea for t-mac is to just retire. this is getting to the point that its not upsetting, but rather more embarrassing. by the end of the season if tmac stays on this same trend...we are gonna be lucky to get a 1st rounder for him. if he retires he comes off our books and then we can pick up our next player in the same time.
He has value in that he is an expiring contract. There are some teams out there wanting to join the race but they can't because of CAP issues. T-mac can definitely help them with that.
If Steve Francis has yet to retire, what makes you think T-Mac, who still plays, will retire? NBA players have egos. Nobody wants to go out like that. Oh and he has about 20 million reasons not to retire. (Channeling T.O.'s publicist FTW)
BECAUSE FRANCHISE WOULD HAVE NEVER MISSED A DUNK AND HE IS ALMOST A FOOT SHORTER THAN TMAC. When an individual is playing as horrible as tmac has been this season, a team could force there player to retire, OR take less money. for t-mac to = 20 million.....t-mac must = ALL STAR status!
no they couldn't. and just in case you don't know, "retire" and "retire for medical reason" are two completely different scenarios when it comes to CAP implication. Get your facts straight before you post so it won't be a pure waste of time for everyone...
no chance in even getting a 2nd rounder for him. if i were a gm, i wouldn't even touch the guy. he's a lazy, injury riddled, malcontent. it's been his story since he came into the league. i could deal with it in the past because he was SO DAMN GOOD. but now, all of the weaknesses in his character that was brought up in Toronto and in Orlando is starting to become extremely apparent.
It's a good thing we waited for his stock to go back up so we could get something closer to equal value back!
