To me Artest isn't something unexpendable, but given current situation, it looks dumb to give up Artest for Vince. I prefer more to play Vince, Artest with Yao.
yeah and new jersey does this why? jesus people before you suggest something look at it from the other teams perspective. there is no way in hell new jersey trades devin harris, hes their new franchise player.
Getting VC would really make next season all the eggs in the basket and blow it up for 2010. It does make sense. with T-mac coming off the books and in reality we do get a reliable offensive threat. T-mac and VC are both excellant passers both of them are interchangeable at the 2-3 spot and can play 1 on the offence. It would make our matchups a nightmare. Please remember our main problem at this point in time, we don't have enough shots to go around and alot of that is to do with the fact that Artest is only effective in certain areas of the court and i feel 20% of those shots come from the post where Yao Ming resides
even though I was just a lurker back then the infamous tybrave post: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=7104
if artest is going to bolt after this year, then we need to trade him. if he wants to stay, i'd say trade mac (if anyone wants him) and keep artest. artest can easily be the 2nd option, probably better than mac at this point and he plays d (supposedly). i don't know, i might be in the minority here but i like artest, he's not shooting well but maybe it's because the lane's clogged with luis and yao down there and artest can't muscle his way in, there just isn't a lot of room there.
This is a trial balloon, or a Morey head-fake (pun intended). I'm still hoping for an upgrade at PG, like Hinrich. I'd also like Beyonce to upgrade me.
Maybe having cousins playing with each other might make T-Slack realize his cousin is better and try to work his ass off in trying to be the best!
No, Broussard just saw me playing the NBA trade machine and stole my idea, expect he got it wrong because no team in their right mind would want Ron Artest, expiring contract or not. Ok, so he has been on good behavior since he had a chance at going deep into the playoffs, but this guy would raise all kinds of hell on an Eastern Conference lottery team. And Vince Carter and Tracy Mcgrady? I can see it now. They would get into a fight over who gets to take the night off. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...21~17&te=&cash= Rockets Get: Amare Stoudemire, Keyon Dooling New Jersey Gets: Jason Richardson, Carl Landry Phoenix Gets: Vince Carter, Shane Battier, Rafer Alston, Chuck Hayes
Ron usually plays when Yao is out and Wafer has never had a problem driving in while Yao is in the game. Artest doesn't know how to play with this offense. Grady and Ron aren't players that will win you the championship.
