people with face tats are rarely featured as commentators on TV shows. I thought that was kinda obvious (do you have face tats?)
haha wow I guess no one has seen the Katie Couric interview then? the guy may not be the easiest to deal with if you're living in suburbia, and i generally dislike him, but he has a knack for putting on good performances and has an energy most politicians would kill for. he might not be your Webster's definition of intelligence but the man clearly knows what he has to do to succeed and has pursued that eagerly.
The guy I quoted was saying they usually used journalist so I brought up 2 other rappers on 1st take. So no face tats has nothing to do with what I said.
Have you guys never heard this song by Lil Wayne entitled "Sportscenter"? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YUUzCSo97VU&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YUUzCSo97VU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I think it's a suprise when any non-journalist, even ex-athletes, sound good. Sports commentary isn't something you regularly see them doing, so it's a little surprising. Like when a non-actor does well on SNL.
Rappers are talented because they are good with words, have a good vocabulary, and can come up with things quickly and in a fashion that makes sense so I can see how Wayne can sit down and think quickly while talking. Most people can't rap, if I try to "flow" I will have nothing to say because I can't think of anything quick enough. But honestly, it comes down to knowing your sports.
Considering how much money he's managing, I'm betting he knows tons more than you ever will... just a bet....
someone's jealous. you try growing up in a slum without a father, see how that turns out. if you become a multi-millionaire, give us all a call.
i find it funny that people think the normal guys on around the horn have some sort of monopoly on good sports takes.
Wait, so you think when ESPN is on commercial he flips over to the cnn finance channel and calls his broker? All these celebs (except MC Hammer) have accountants or investment managers.
