Good interview, thanks for sharing and I am MAJORLY dissappointed that he is still afraid of jumping off that knee.

    UGH.

Says he's still mentally dealing with it and he was just scared to jump off his left leg and wanted to pass the ball if he could. Sounds pretty honest. He laughed at himself, says the guys killed him, and laughed that he put $500 on the poker table for the guys.

Its not the end of the world.

i thought that dunk over thomas gave him confidence. apparently, he's still way too nervous to do anything with that left knee. good god.

i don't think he'll ever regain the confidence until next yr. or something miraculous over the all-star break happens.

dude can still do it. but his mind is obviously not cooperating and wanting to do it. and it's not gonna happen until his mind is right.

someone needs to slap tracy in the head and tell tracy, "just freakin' do it."

Sure, disappointment is a good word.

Still, they asked him "what are you going to do next time?"

And he said "I just gotta have confidence in it."

He knows. We can only hope.

Cant he just start practicing DURING practice to jump off his left leg and start dunking while doing that?

You should probably learn, since you havent already, to filter what Tracy says. ;)

he sure seems too nonchalant in his speech for being in a sense of urgency

me too. i'm beyond frustrated with him right now. i don't think his career is done or he's in the decline to where he's a role player. hell no.

the shaky confidence is the problem. you don't trust your body, how are you going to play with the best of the best?

tracy has to do something with this confidence with that knee over this all-star break. it's beyond physical now.

He just has to do it....I mean you can not play scared.....has any other player ever deteriorated so much out of fear?

At least he was honest but the comment about hoping he could pass the ball to someone else on what should have been a dunk is messed up.

maybe his knee really is hurt? he plays like a guy with a busted knee that feels good after 1 game and then kills you after the next. either way t-mac is a chronic injury and needs to be moved.

    He's not confident?

Then why the &#*% did you come back to play?

"I hope somebody catches up with me so I could pass the ball" WTF???

he has zero confidence right now with that knee. and that comment tells you. and that's just scary stupid. he needs to see a psychologist right now real quick on how to overcome fear.

t_mac1, theres no way it is all just CONFIDENCE. You can just tell he moves way slower then he did before. Do you think he moves slower because he is scared to maybe tweak it?
