Has anyone been involved or knows someone that has been involved with the Disney College Program? I was just recently offered an internship for the next 6 months and I haven't accepted it yet, and I was just wanting to gather some opinions on the program either from past members or people that know people that have done the program in the past? It seems like a sweet deal to me, the pay's not that great, but they provide a pretty nice pad with furniture/appliances/etc all being provided. You also get free access to the parks and typical employee discounts. The only real problem I see with the program is missing the fall semester, but I can always attend UCF for a semester... Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone's been involved or know someone that's been involved with the program and what they've heard about it... Thanks
hey dude,... I was a WDW college program intern for summer of 2000...if ya want some first hand info, lemme know... my email, jae@alumni.utexas.net peace
C'mon...we want the details here!!! I've heard of some good stuff that happens that Uncle Walt doesn't want out. DETAILS!! os
I read about it in the school paper. Students who have gone said it was great. Get to spend 6 months at the happiest place on earth, get paid, get experience, and get connections. I would take that job if I were you.
The girl I took to my senior prom did this one summer in college..she loved it. Definitely something unique you can put on a resume...a nice conversation starter in an interview.
Yea I buddy of mine from Stanford did the corp finance program during his mba at Stanford. He now rakes it in their corporate office.
I had two friends that went for marketing(I think). They both said they loved it and would easily do it all over again. CK

E-mail sent 3oClock... Rocketeer, They visit campuses all over the country, all you need to do is fill out their online application, attend the presentation that's scheduled for your area, then sign up for an interview and present your printed out application when you interview for the internship. It's pretty quick and easy...
Did Disney tell you how selective they were? That's what they told me. What exactly will you be doing on this internship? One more question, would Disney rather have a college student clean their restrooms/ work as a cashier or would they rather have a 16 year old high school kid. Been there done that. Don't do it.
