    cato thomas griffin taylor goodon or wilcox they have rebounding shooting shoot blocking they maybe able to compete better against big west teams plus create a mismatch in our favor in the post fox peja finley cant defend against a 6-10 player

    i understand they cant defend the perimeter a good team defense can make up for it with rebounding if they have good post skills i say go for it

    it worked for us before
    HORRY = GRIFFIN
    THORPE=WILCOX/GOODEN
    HAKEEM NOT EQUAL but backcourt is much better
    TAYLOR THOMAS CATO are quality Role!!!!! players

    Does the term "perimeter defense" mean anything to you?

    I still say that if we do take a power forward that we should take Amare Stoudamire. Trust me in that this guy will be dynamite, with as many as we already have we should take a project if we take another power forward. I also have to say that I think that Griffin can play the perimeter very well he is so versatile that it's not even funny. Watch over time this will be revealed. I also must say that we should do anything to get Qyntel Woods this guy is not Mcgrady, but is awesome in his own right also many say that he is NBA ready. I think that this team is ready to make noise next year if this pick which ever it may be pans out for the good, we also have that 15th pick whidn I think should be used to pay off Vancouver.

    Monkey, different players. Thorpe was a stud in his younger days.

    I think Wilcox can play the 3 more effectively than Griff

    at least on D

    neither one can really put the ball on the floor

    would you guys be happy with a draft if Houston took Wilcox at 5 and Jefferies at 15?

    everything you people is based on potential griffin is horry now
    the team defense sucks regardless of who is on the floor rice williams torres are small fowards and they cant stop anybody all they can do is shoot

    thorpe was a top power foward in his day if wilcox or gooden maybe better at different things but not the important intangibles
    talent isnt everything thorpe had post d toughness rebounding that is exactly what we need today not another quick 6-10 athlete who can jump that is effective in the regular season look at garnett swept by all white team

    Can't compare Griffin to Horry. Horry is going to five rings.:eek:

    Really, Griffin could be better than Horry was back then but he is not yet. Horry was a better outside shooter, had crazy dunks, and stayed in front of his man better than Griffin. Horry was is still is the epitome of Clutch!!!!!! Horry was a pretty good weakside blocker also when he tried which was only in the playoffs.

    Actually I think Gooden and Griffin would make fine anchors to solidify our interior and perimeter defense. I agree we want to move Cato to a bench roll though.

    Sometimes I wake up in the morning, and need to take a special trip to a special place in which i require some reading material that is a bunch of CRAP. This will suffice nicely...

    I am a bit lost as to how the pigmentation of the mavericks swept KG and the t-wolves. I am, dare i say "miffed," as to how the "caucasianality" of the mavericks played a role in that series. Please let us all know how, exactly, the fact that dirk and nash are "white" badasses rather than another skin color affected the outcome of the series....

    I'm sure I can save your reply for my next trip to that special little room....:(

    Whether the Rockets draft Wilcox, Gooden, Borchardt, Marcus, Stoudamire, Ely or any other "big" man is IMHO not very relevant. The fact is, barring injury they're not likely to get enough playing time to even be a small blip on the ROY radar screen. That's just the way Rudy does things.

    With a new arena and sagging attendance, the Rocks will need to win sooner and not later. I would not be surprised if the Rockets dealt the #15 for a cheap vet and a future first.
